Hey everyone:goodvibes

I need everyones help that is a Verizon customer who owns the EnV2.. not the newest EnV3.. just the 2nd:)

I wanted to know how you liked it?? And how long you have had it for because I want to know how it holds up over time??

I'm most likely switching to this phone after alot of research on phones because it serves what I need: I use the phone alot duh:laughing: hehe.. I text like non-stop, I wouldn't mind email alerts and read them.. and also use of the camera as well:)

Pros & Cons just let me know...

Thanks so much!!!!

I have the enV2 - and I loooove it!! :lovestruc And honestly, I don't know anyone that has it that DOESN'T love it. My fiance has it (in black, I have it in maroon) and he loves it as well.

It's fairly durable - I'm pretty tough on my phones, and it's held up well. I had the enV, and I went through 2 cracked screens on it. The enV2 has held up much better.

I text a lot too, so the QWERTY keyboard is nice. The only downside is the keys are a teeny bit small, so if you have big fingers you might hit more than one button at a time - or so I'm told.

It has a 2.0mp camera, and it's pretty decent. I take pictures on a regular basis with it and they always come out pretty good. The camera actually has more options than I'm used to with a phone, so it confused me a little at first. It has different resolutions, like 320x420, 640x480, 1280x960, 1600x1200.. I had it set at 1600x1200 and couldn't get it to zoom in at all. Apparently you can only zoom on the smaller resolutions. Anyway, it has a self-timer and color effects like sepia, black/white, etc.

I'm trying to think of anything else I use on a regular basis.. the mobile IM client is pretty decent. Every once in awhile it will send an IM twice, but I think most IM clients do that.

I've had mine since December 08, so almost a year. I normally upgrade my phones early, but I'll probably hold onto this one for the full 2 years, because it seems like it will hold up fairly well for that long and really, it does everything I need at this point. :thumbsup2

The only Con I found is there is no flash to the camera. Which it takes great outside pictures, just not dark rooms.

Keep the key board clean. I once had dgs open mine and poor Kool aid on it,
I wiped up fast, lay it on papertowels over night, with the battery out and it was fine.

Out of the blue 6 months ago while in warranty is was acting funky, Something as if it was not charging. They handed me a new one.
I had a LG 8300 before that and could not kill it. So I was ready for a LG again. I wanted the QWERTY key board, and do have it in Maroon.

I have great reception, no dropped calls, can call from anywhere in a store too,

Watch were you lay the face. Don't dump in the purse, keep it in a holder.

The enV's have been very popular with Verizon, DD16 has the original enV and personally I don't like the enV2, looks like a calculator to me. DD is due for an upgrade in December and she'll probably get the enV3 but with that said hers has held up exceptionally well considering how many times it's been dropped (it did end up with a cracked screen after one of the drops), it even landed in the water once and amazingly it still works but it's getting towards being on it's last legs, luckily December isn't far away.:)

So if you with go with an enV, regardless of which one I'm sure you'll be happy!!

Thanks everyone!!!:) Yeah I wish that the front look a tad different haha.. and that there was a flash w/ the camera!:)

Add run over by a car to the list of holding up well. lol
I left the home and thought I forgot it. When I pulled back in it was laying in the driveway. Oh and it was a light mist drizzle too.

I have a rock gravel drive, not paved so there was an indent from a rock in the back of the case, but the front did not even have a cracked case.

I was not so sure about the look at first, but it was much smaller then the typical Blackberry, etc. I also had external antena's before but this one has better reception even in stores. I never drop a call even in Kmart.

I have had a lot of luck with the LG phones. If it had a flash I would be happier, but I have not lost the pictures that I did want with it. I am able to print up to 8 x 10.

I have the ENV2... love it EXCEPT that it randomly turns off on me. I could just open the phone and it will turn off, or go to answer a call and it turns off. I hear its a problem with these phones, but I love it so much that I put up with it :) Oh, and my pocket calls random people sometimes LOL

I had that happen in April and took it in and there was an update. But, with my warranty they just handed me a new phone.
There is a way to lock not to call, I have not done that though. If I stick it in my bra in a high noise area sometimes I end up calling my DH.

I know the Envy 3 is out, but not enough pizzaz for me, I want something special to top this phone.
I absolutly do not want to have a touch screen, ds and dil have had so much trouble with them, not LG, but touch screens in general.

I love the text feature of a key board, I would not text if I did not have that feature.

Mine does that too! I forgot about it when I posted earlier. I keep my phone in my front pocket, and that's usually when it shuts off. Although I have it on the two-step keyguard (press 'ok' then 'clear') so either it's the phone, or I'm really good at pressing those two buttons inside my pocket. ;) Sometimes if I slam it shut too hard after texting it will turn off, too.

We don't have that one, but the Env3. But, I am not sure what your situation is, but if you are eligble to upgrade with Verizon right now, and will sign a 2 year contract, the Env3 is free this week at Target.

If you go to Verizon's website and look at the phones, there are user reviews you can read. I just ordered a new phone and decided not to get the Env2 because of the user reviews. Overall, most like it. Those who hated it all had problems with it, some reporting being on their 2nd and 3rd phones. The Env3 is supposed to be a lot better - according to the reviews.

My DD has one, and she loved it. I think is a good phone if the thing has lasted for about a year on her hands. She is 13.

DH has the EV3 and is a lot better, the camera is 3mp, takes nices pictures, lots of cool features.

I've had mine for over a year and I still love it! The only thing I wish I could change is that the "space" key is right next to the "clear" key, so I'm constantly erasing the last letter I typed (instead of inserting a space)!! I know they changed this on the EnV3, so that the space key has been moved to the bottom-middle of the keyboard.

Other than that, I've been soooo happy with this phone!
