"Can you hear me now?" might be a cute marketing ploy but around my house there are alot of places where it's "gosh-darn-it why won't this cell phone work.

Have you used your Verizon cell at WDW? How was it? Should I just go get a pre-paid phone card instead?

Thanks.........

I use my cell there all the time (AT&T) and I know all the carriers seem to do just fine there. I do have my Sam's Club prepaid with all the time too. Call me there, I will let you know how you sound.

Always use my Verizon cell. The only place I have had a problem is in the resort room. But if I walk outside its fine.

Mom said hers is a little iffy in the hotel. However, it worked perfectly fine on the WEDway People Mover and inside the Haunted Mansion. And it was so wonderful to receive a phone call at work from your sister in the Haunted Mansion.

I also have a prob in the restrooms, but then whose using their phone while there in there?

Resort rooms you silly goose.

And I really don't want to hear about anyone's restroom problems, thank you very much. :earseek:

My Verizon phone works fine everywhere except at Old Key West. There the coverage is a bit spotty. :chat:

I used my Verizon in WDW and had no problems but I also have the national plan so i dont know if that affected it.

My Verizon phone worked better than any of my friends' phones did the last time I was at WDW. Even in the hotel room (BCV).

I use my verizon cell with no problems at WDW except inside my room at the Dolphin. However, my phone seems to roam a lot when I'm not in my home area so the battery only lasts a few hours.

Roaming doesn't kill your battery. It's when your phone has to switch to analog mode from digital that your battery runs down quickly. A low strength digital signal will have the same effect, but that won't drain your battery as fast as analog or the dreaded "No Service".

Our verizon phone worked, but the reception was not good - I'd rate it as adequate. As other posters said, it didn't work well in the resort rooms (we stayed at ALK and Poly), and the reception was spotty throughout the themeparks. One of the employees stated that it was because the nearest cell phone towers are off Disney property, so depending where you are, you may be at the limits of the coverage area (not sure if this is accurate, but it sounded right at the time).

My Verizon phone has always worked well at WDW. I don't carry it a lot when I'm there except for days I'm expecting a call or will need to hook up with someone, though. When I'm on vacation I also take a vacation from the phone as much as possible.
