Vera Bradley key chain coupon HELP

My 12 yo decides she is in love with Vera Bradley purses and wants one for her birthday in April. I am in the process of learning all about them. DD's best friend told her if she could get a magazine in the mail she could get a free keychain when she buys one. Now it is a little late for the new 2006 Spring Collection. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that has a book that has the coupon in it that does NOT plan on using it and would like to give it to me. I would love to be able to use it for you... I used to shop at www.Brownson5th.com and they used to be at a slightly better price than our local stores...but I have not brought any this year to check the prices.

Do merchants mark up the prices up from what the Vera Bradley site sale them for?

As of January, VB does not allow online retailers to show pics of items for sale. Now if you want to buy something from Browns you have to go the Vera site and look it up first, then contact Browns either via fax, phone or the net and they will call you back to place the order-what a pain!

I got interested in these bags last year and they are great. I lucked out and purchased some during a semi-annual sale at a local shop. I'd suggest researching where they are sold locally & stop in there. If you ask, they might know when the next sale will be. The shops here all went to 20% off for a weekend or week and that was on top of clearance prices on discontinued pieces.

Vera Bradley merchants do not set their own price. VB tells them what to sell them for. I don't think I've ever seen different prices on the same bag.

try ebay, there are lots of great buys on vera bradley there. Do you know anyone in Fort Wayne IN? They have a wonderful show every year where you get great buys! I went last year and it was a madhouse! I got the catalog but I threw it away. I didn't realize there was a coupon on it! Have you looked at the vera bradley site? It can give you a good idea about how much things are.

I absolutely love VB!! If you go to your website you can see the locations where they are sold and they are rated by how good their selection is.

My mom bought me vera bradley placemats as a birthday/housewarming present and I LOVE them! (we found them through the website b/c a local store was rated as having a great selection- I didn't even know they sold VB!) They are the Nantucket Navy pattern so they go w/ my white and navy kitchen theme and are great all year round.

Crabtree and Evelyn sells VB and C&E outlets sell retired prints at 30% off. And like others said- VB sets the price, not the retailer.

OK just got back from a trip to buy a new bag for my up coming trip...had a long discussion with a store owner.

VB only allows 2 sales a year at stores(they usually have a trunk show in Spring-around Mothers Day and Fall around Thanksgiving) and they are also allowed to do a "card program" At the store I was at it was 25% off once your spent $250 in VB...but the 25% was limited to 1 sale, not 1 item...so I thought that was a good deal.

I have already looked around on ebay. The purse she wants is a new Spring 2006 color so the prices are almost as high as going and buying them in a local store. I have also visited www.verabradley.com . I have requested a magazine but I do not know if I will get one with the coupon in it.

I just have never really cared for these purses but I think my DD is opening my eyes to them. LOL Nothing against anyone that carries them at all I just never really cared for them until DD decided she must have one. Now I like the Java Blue print a lot. LOL I might have to buy myself one too.

My sister first got my DD interested in VB, then me. We all have them. I just love VB. I'll be looking for the sales around Mother's Day, because I want a "metrolpolitan" bag in Java Blue next.

My Dd wants the Molly bad in Java Blue. Thank goodness she does not want one more expensive. That one is only $44. I can do that. She is 12. Her best friend has 4 of these purses. I guess I am in for it now. She is going to start caring about her purses now.

I have a few VB bags. The last one I bought was from Crabtree & Evelyn and it was on sale for 30% off!! I got it for 4.30 because I had the C&E gift cards thru Discover rewards! :0)

Check with your local Hallmark store. Ours had the free keychains with any Vera purchase, I bought a change purse and got the keychain free!!
