Rant #3: People who center their posts instead of leaving them in regular format.

Why? Because it makes what they have to say much, much harder to read!

excuse me for being different..

goofygirl, is that you? ;)

MTE!!! But I think that Jenn is a different.

excuse me for being different..

Oh, you mean princess-like? Special?

We get it, you don't want to give your seat up for a kid. Fine.
People shouldn't feel guilty about vacationing without the kids. Fine.
As for the pregnant women? They can be all the princess they want to be. From the moment that first child is born, mom will know that she is nowhere near being a princess anymore.

Honestly, the OP is picking fights about children, and pregnant ladies. Does it really get any worse than that? Just because it's in a pretty purple font does not make it any less ugly.

agreed. I guess the ignore feature will be put in use since I have been one of those pregnant ladies who had to be careful. Thank God I did since I have a wonderful 2 year old running around. Not to mention the 17 year old I have also!

OP if you don't want us making assumptions about you stop making them about others. Karma good or bad it will get you in the end.

Guess we know different people then. But really, how would you know that there was something wrong with them? I had low fluid levels for the last 10 or so weeks of my pregnancy, nobody at my work but my boss knew because I did not feel like broadcasting it. Just by looking at a pregnant person you cannot decide if they are high risk or not.

And like I said, most princess pregnant people are princess people when they are not pregnant. But there are some things that a pregnant person cannot and should not be doing.

I just really cannot get over how much you seem to hate pregnant people.:confused3

Kristine

Sounds like a prejudice against pregnant women, for whatever reason.

I must say, this is a rather strange thread.

I was in big time pain towards the end of my pregnancy. Sorry if being slow or needing to sit as much as possible was a hassle for you.

Wow, how hateful...

I don't mind giving up my seat for a kid. Yeah it is dangerous for everyone but as a adult I have a better grip on things than a child.
Rant #2
Why does this even bother you. I could careless who goes on vacation or who doesn't.
Rant #3:
Umm I have two kids and I didn't get treated any differently than when I wasn't. I was always grateful when some kind soul would open a door for me.
If I would have know being pregnant made me better than everyone else. I would have played that card more.

i will never get pregnant so i dont see the point, there are hundreds of thousands of family-less kids out there.. why bring more into the world? i dont see the point..

Now it makes sense. I disagree with you.

But really SO much more important! :lmao:

While I moderately agree---

#3 comes across as TOTALLY WITCHY.

So witchy in fact that when I had an extremely difficult, bedridden first trimester due to hyperemisis (think--you feel like you are going to die b/c your body wants to throw up every drop you place in your mouth and succeeds in doing so)--that I kept to myself and hardly told anyone. Even my husband didn't understand.

While pregnancy isn't a disablity, it ain't no picnic and I surely wish folks wouldn't judge pregnant women so freakin' critically.

(And no, I'll stand on the bus or metro, I won't judge you for it--but no need for folks to cop a witchy attitude in general to pregnant women as though we think the world owes us.:sad2:)

Aaaahhhh, my vent, to your vent.

I'd say more, but other folks are saying enough about your vents.

Have a nice day.:cutie:

#1: I don't see what the big deal is whether or not you give up your seat for a child or not. And I'm not "bouncing up and down" when I'm standing.
#2: I can see if they went to a place where kids aren't welcomed or a place where it's more of an "adult setting," but why would you go to a disney park/cruise without your child? The child deserves the vacation as much as the parents.
#3: You've never been pregnant and neither have I, but I would never be rude to someone, especially if they're pregnant. I'd imagine it would be hard to carry the baby around all day and all of the changes from it.

DH & I are going to Disney in September and our children will be with my parents in Chicago for the week. It's a few months delayed 10th anniversary trip for us (we honeymooned in WDW) and a couple of dear friends are traveling with us. Of course, my son will only be 18 months and my daughter about 5 months...but ultimately I think it shouldn't matter where the parents vacation, they need a break just for themselves too (we don't get summer vacations or fall/Christmas/spring breaks). To each his own. :)
