Venting (I make my ADR's tomorrow)

Needing to vent: I will be making my ADR's tomorrow (waking up at 3:45 am) from over here on the west coast. I'm so nervous!! It sounds like a couple we want have been impossible to get. Anyone else making ressie's tomorrow?? Good luck to everyone! This is what is on my list:

Kona Cafe
San Angel Inn
Ohana- not likely (from what I've heard)
Mama Melrose (fant. pack.)- prob. not likely from what I've heard
Boma
Chef Mickey
Rose & Crown
Mayan Grill

My Back-ups are:
Sci-Fi
Crystal Palace
Cape May
Yak & Yetti
Tusker house

Well that's great that you have backups and I think you'll prob get MOST of what you want.
the hard ones will be fantasmic, chef mickey's and ohana (mostly if it's dinner)
the other ones should be pretty doable-

Good luck! Having back ups is the key to not getting stressed out/depressed

I think you may need to be flexible, but you should be able to get all of the ressies you want, even if you don't get them tomorrow. You can always call back and check if people cancel.

I'll be on hold with you! East coast here, so I don't have to get up quite that early, but it still would be nice to sleep in on Memorial Day.

I saw a thread earlier that said every TS at HS was booked up on 8/27. I know it's a Fantasmic night, but I'm hoping I can get 50's squeezed in there somewhere - it's DH's birthday and I hear that was a fun place to eat on your birthday!!

Relax, I called and made mine today. I didnt call until late morning, waited on hold abut 30 mins and got all I wanted.

I called this morning at EXACTLY 7:00, (and 6:59, 6:58, etc..) and got through with absolutely NO wait. I got all the ADRs I wanted without being too far off from my original time request.

I got:

Boma
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickey
Coral Reef
Teppan Edo

BUT...they would not let me book my second resort for my split stay, even after asking for guest relations and calling back again this afternoon. They say the system cannot accept this kind of thing and I have to call back Thursday. So I will patiently laughing wait until then to book Le Cellier, San Angel, and Marakesh.

I also tried yesterday and had my dates off. This entire thing from planning down to actually making the calls has me totally stressed out. Now I can't even relax until Thursday after I call then.

Good luck! So long as you are flexible and understand that you may not get everything you want, then you'll be fine. We called today and the only thing we didn't get was 'Ohana for our 1st night dinner (our little tradition). We'll likely call the month before, the week before and once we get to WDW to see if we can get in.

I just did this yesterday. Forget Mama Melrose, nothing available through the 8/27/09. You should be ok with the others if you get in at 7AM.

I found that I got everything I wanted (I called today) but I had to switch all my days around and some things I got lunch instead of dinner.

Your hardest ones will most likely be O'hana and Boma. Be specific about the times you want. I asked for 8:15 am or 5:45 pm. etc. I got everything I wanted within a half hour of the time I wanted. I also called 1 1/2 hours after lines opened waited about 15 minutes for a cm. It really was not that bad.

I call on Thursday at 4AM too (hey west coast neighbor!!). As long as you're flexible all will be right with the world. Here's to keeping fingers crossed and getting what you want. Keep us posted

If you read this before you call for your reservations... DON'T make them in chronological order. Instead, start with the hardest-to-get reservations, in whichever order is most important to you.

I made my ADR's on saturday. Didn't phone until about 9am sat on hold forever.

While I was waiting on hold DH phoned PLAY to make a booking for an Illuminations cruise and I was quite surprised that we managed to get one on the +10 day rule. When asked if we needed anything else DH said that we had ADR's to make and the (very helpful) CM made our dining reservations for us. Until the system went down for enhancements.

We then phoned back the normal dining number later in the evening to make the rest. We made them in date order and had no problems getting what we wanted at the times we wanted. The only one that is at a different time was Brown Derby FP I could have got the ressie at the time we wanted but without the FP package (they don't do them that late). I have listed below so you can see what we got.

Today is my day to make ADR's. I am up bright an early. Can't wait to get it over with. I have written out what I want, but am very flexible in days and times. The most important is CM for BK and Dinner. CM is a favorite and must do of my two DS. So I will try for that first. Good Luck Everyone.

We are going to be at HS on a F! day, but aren't really planning on seeing it. The dinner package has you eating dinner at like 3 or 4, and that's a bit early for us. We saw it back in Nov on the dinner package so we are in no rush to see it again.

We will probably take our chances with the general line at about 7:30 or 8. If we don't make it, no biggie.
