I've been on short-term disability from my job (pharmacist) for 12 weeks after hip surgery. I'm doing really well and today my surgeon released me to go back to work for 12 hours a week. (Four hours Mon, Wed, Fri.)
So I called the disability co-ordinator and that won't fly. I have to work half of my normal work week (20 hours out of a 40 hour week.) So, I tried calling the surgeon, but it was Friday afternoon, so I know I won't hear until Monday. I'm not allowed to show up for work on Monday, so my supervisor is going to be upset.
Hopefully, I'll get the release to return to work and then who knows what hoops I'll have to jump through!
I JUST WANT TO GET BACK TO WORK !!! Why is that so hard?
Thanks for listening
