I LOVE him.... and I'm SICK of it!!!![]()
The only reason MJ is getting so much coverage is becaues nothing of importance is happening in the world. I mean, if there were a coup in Central America, a revolution or a missile test in or by a nation hostile to the west, an energy bill going to the senate, or the possibility that a flu vaccination is going to be forced on the American people by the CDC that would surly be in the news.
Since none of those, or any other important thing is happening, we have to be subjected to the non stop coverage of a dead pop star that probably touched kids.
I'm wondering when the rumors/speculation will start that MJ faked his death and is really still alive and hiding somewhere...you know, like Elvis did!![]()
Back in the 70's when Elvis died it was the same way.
Then change the channel. Unfortunately this is what you are all going to be watching and I feel that the news has been going down the tubes and there are no more REAL journalists out there, if I want to know what's going on in the Entertainment world I will watch Entertainment tonight, but if I want to know what is going on with my state or country I will watch CNN and/or my local news. It's been pretty pathetic.
I love MJ and he deserves all of the coverage, I think the news media has always been obessesed with him and today on The View, Whoopi said that he was a good person and she would let her children sleep in the same bed with him, she knew him as a person and she called him a friend.
His life was so out there and he tried to be private that is why the media is all over this because they want to know the facts and the truth.
FYI he is not or ever was a pedophile.
It will all die down soon. Anna Nicole Smith's stuff went on for a VERY long time.
However, if someone you were close to died, would you "get over it" after 10 days? Maybe and maybe not. Lots of people felt a very deep closeness to him and they deserve the right to grieve for as long as they need.
Get off your TV.
I was at a place with no TV for the holiday weekend and was happy to get back today and see the coverage.![]()
I've enjoyed some of the tributes to him, for example, the King of Pop one and the shows on VH1 but I'm really tired of which doctor prescribed what, which parent is coming out of the woodwork to claim the kids, etc, etc.

Well then I suggest no one watch TV tomorrow. Pretty much all the channels will be carrying the coverage of the memorial service. Hang out on DIS or read a book!
