A lot of people are turned off from 3D because the first TV sets that came out have active shutter glasses which means the lenses in the glasses electronically alternately darken to block out the picture at the same time as the TV is switching pictures so that each eye is seeing a different image. This flickering gave some people (myself included) eye strain and headaches. It's kinda the same thing as a fluorescent light flickering. They still make active shutter sets but they now also have passive sets which, as I said before, are the same type as they have at the movie theather. The screen has two images interlaced with each other and each glasses lens blocks out part of the image so you only see what each eye should see. It's much less (basically none) eye strain and much more comfortable.
They are actually starting to move towards that. I bought The Hunger Games last week and it only included a blu-ray copy and Ultraviolet copy so I can store it in my could. No DVD version was included.![]()
I haven't tried to watch anything on a 3D TV, I was actually referring to watching movies in the theater and not getting a headache/migraine anymore.

I did buy the Hunger Games with the ultraviolet and the Blu-Ray only, I was excited to see that actually.
