I don't know if this is the proper place to post this but I'm ticked and I need to vent.
To give you some back-story; I work for a local company that is very generous to its employees. To give you one example of their generosity - We have a college in town and during the year, we frequently receive passes to go to games of all kinds and varieties. Not only do we get FREE tickets to go the games (and sit in VIP seating), but they also will have treats, drinks and even sometimes will cater a full meal. Again, we don't pay for any of it. Not a dime.
So today, we get an e-mail from one of the owners saying that during one of the recent games, employees were taking some of the food home with them from the game!!! Not like grabbing a brownie as you walk out the door, but as in putting things in their purses and bags for later (like candy bars, etc). COME ON PEOPLE!!!
This really upsets me and I just had to vent. I can't stand it when someone is generous and then they get taken advantage of. To me, this is no different than stealing.
It's like those people that will order a side salad and a glass of water when they're paying but if someone else is footing the bill, they get 3 drinks, an appetizer, the filet, dessert, etc. That has always burned me and today I find out that ADULTS that I work with are acting like this. I thought we were out of childhood but I guess not.
Plus, it ruins it for the rest of us who appreciate it.
Anyway, just had to vent. I frequent this part of the boards the most and knew you gals and guys would understand.
Does anyone else see this kind of thing in their workplace / town, etc?

We were replying at the same time.
That was so, so rude! One of the nurses saw him slicing it and putting in on plates and thought how nice it was for him to slice the turkey up, until she went to fix her plate and all of those nice plates of turkey were gone! This is also the same employee they caught on camera stealing from the cafeteria while it is closed
How he still has a job is beyond me!
