Has anyone provided your vendor(s) anything other than the deli plate offered through Disney? We like our vendor and feel that the cold deli plate offered doesn't seem "good enough". What are your thoughts? Did you do anything different?

TIA!

From surveying these boards, it seems like a fair number of couples do feed their vendors the same meal as their guests, but if you're doing a $125/plate dinner, I can see the attraction in providing a $20 vendor meal—especially since your vendors are probably going to be so busy working that they won't really have time to savor that surf 'n' turf or whatever...

That said, now that I know how often they have to eat the clammy cold cuts provided in Disney's vendor meal, I feel bad that we didn't just pay a few extra bucks for our photographers to eat the brunch our guests ate. :guilty:

We're paying for them to eat from the buffet. We are being charged the same for them as the rest of our guests.

Though as a cruise bride its different. If I were having traditional catered wedding, I'd say it really depends on who the vendor is. For example your photographer is going to be with you all day they really should get a plated meal not a deli plate, I'd also do the same for your dj and any other vendor who is going to be there all day. As for the catering staff and any vendor who is only there for a limited time I'd do a vendor meal. Trust me they make extra food for weddings and catering staff gets first dibs on it once everyone has been served.

Ohhhh I didnt know the vendor meal was a cold deli meat meal... Well we will be changing that! I dont wanna give that to Randy!

We almost chose the typical vendor meal until I read a post our photographers' blog and saw how much one of them loved Mickey waffles (which we were serving) so I changed it so that they were served from our buffet. She thanked us later, so it was well worth the price to make them happy. :)

Massive bummer! Ugh. I'm going to have to talk to our planner and see if we can't change this so they get the buffet and not the cold cuts. Euh!!!!
