Hi Everyone,
I have not been on the board in a long time except every now and then when I have time but I wanted to come back and share my vendor reivews and some of my favorite Randy Chapman photos with you! This helped me tremendously when I was in my planning stages so long ago so I want to return the favor.
DH and I were married this past December 14th at the WP with our reception at the Napa Room and it was absolutely fabulous! I cannot thank everyone who helped make this day perfect enough. I have never felt so beautiful and taken care of by Disney and my outside vendors.
Vendor Reviews
Meri Williamson (planner) Meri was absolutely amazing to work with. She was very organized, always got right back to me and really worked with me on pulling everything I wanted together. I had problems with getting my last payment to them do to my stupid credit card messing with my credit line unbeknownst to me and she was very understanding and gave me the extra time I needed to get it all straightened out.
Randy Chapman (photographer) I love Randy! Our pictures turned out absolutely beautiful and so creative! I cannot express how awesome he is to work with. He was so much fun and he made it so easy for us. He was so helpful the day of the wedding getting ready and moving through the day. He made sure I got the shots I wanted for both my DH and me. I hope to work with him again in the future for family shoots!
Stan Severance (videographer) Stan was so professional and very nice. I didnt met him until the day of the wedding so I wasnt sure how he would be but he was fantastic. I hardly even knew he was there which was great as I get nervous in front of a video camera. He and Bonnie also had our sneak peak ready to show us half way through the reception and it was perfect. Its funny I didnt do any of the crying or laughing during the ceremony as I thought I would but when I watched his video thats when I started to get misty. LOL! We have had some issues with the video's once we received the finished product but I contacted them right away and they have gone above and beyond working with us on them.
Beaute Speciale (hair/makeup) Ana and 2 assistants (Carrie and Tanya) arrived right on time and worked fast (especially with my mother) which makes them top notch LOL! They all worked great together and were very professional. Ana had us laughing the whole time and telling stories of different brides and celebrities she has done. I loved the way my hair and makeup turned out. It was perfect for my evening wedding.
Kelly Shannon Floral (florist) Kelly did all our personal flowers and alter arrangements. She was recommended to me by a former Disbride and I couldnt have been happier with the results. We met for about an hour in May 2009 to go over what I was looking for, colors and flowers and then a few emails over the next couple of months and she nailed exactly what I was looking for. Her prices were so reasonable compared to Disney (i.e. my bouquet was less than ½ the cost). She was early dropping off our bouquets to us at OKW and then to the men at the GF and finally our alter arrangement at the WP. The only con I would say is she can be a little slow in getting back via email or phone but the results of her work totally overshadow that.
Disney Floral/Rose(florist) Rose did all ceremony and reception decoration. The candles down the aisle, reception tables and candelabras. Everything turned out beautiful and was exactly what I was looking for in a candlelight ceremony. Rose also provided a second boutineer for DH for our bridal shoot and it was fine but I will say I preferred the rose choice Kelly used for our ceremony better. It was deeper purple vs the lighter that Rose used but the quality for both was excellent.
Disney Photography/ Amy (photography) Amy was our photograper and she was wonderful. I will confess I was a little worried doing our bridal shoot at DHS because not many had been done there but Amy came up with some great shots around DHS and our pictures came out fantastic! We couldn't be more happier with them and totally fit the theme of our wedding.
Mens Warehouse (tux rental) Julie was my contact, referred to me by another former Disbride and she was fantastic! She was so nice and easy to work with. She kept in contact with me at least once a month. We did have some sizing problems but after I contacted her she got me all the changes for the tuxes done the next morning. The tuxes were delivered early and pickup for all the men was a breeze. I will say we did have a respect issues with some of the employees in the local offices where the men were getting measured but as we werent really dealing with them for the majority of the rental we let it go.
