Wife's vegan - daughter's vegetarian - I'll eat anything :teeth:.

What are everyone's recommendations for counter service (or easy-to-get table service) restaurants in World Showcase?

The restaurant in morocco has a really good veggie platter. It has falafel with a ton of different sides/salads.

Boulangerie Patisserie les Halles in France has a few yummy vegetarian options (not sure about vegan)

Spice Road Table
Tangerine Cafe
Marrakesh
Toyko Dining
San Angel
La Cava appetizers

These guys all do really good vegan/veg options.

If your wife is really hardcore, note that the UK even fries the fish and the chips in shared oil.

Dole Whips are vegan too.

It's been a while since I was a vegetarian, but from the menus it looks like they still have the veggie sandwich at Columbia Harbour House and Vegetarian egg rolls and stir fry at Lotus Blossom Cafe in Epcot. For some reason those are the only two that stand out in my memory.

My vegetarian DD really like Spice Road Table and Tangerine Cafe. I believe the Vegetarian platter at TC is Vegan.

I know you asked about the World Showcase, but the Grilled Vegetable Stack at the Harambe Market in AK is one of the best CS meals at WDW (and I am a carnivore!). It does come with pesto (which probably has cheese in it) but your wife can ask for it to be left off.

Seconding this! Tangierine Cafe's vegetarian platter is amazing. Falafel, tabbouleh, hummus, couscous salad, lentils, yummy herb salad, and pita bread. I want one right now just thinking about it.

AND the meat dishes are also very good there!

Tangierine Cafe in Morocco has probably the best and most expansive vegetarian platter of any counter-service location in any park. It's a ton of food, and most of it is excellent.

(As an aside, Tangierine Cafe also has a really good homemade hot sauce, but it's not advertised. It needs to be requested at the counter.)

+1 for Tangierine Cafe and Spice Road Table (not CS)

Lots of great ideas, thank you all!

Wife's not too hardcore vegan (more like a lactose intolerant vegetarian ), so dairy products in small amounts are OK. We should have a good amount of leeway.

And yes, thank you amberpi: the Dole Whips are half the reason she loves WDW. :earsgirl::earsboy:

Dis703: Good tip for Lotus Blossom. And we love Columbia Harbor House - it's possibly our favorite spot in MK. Lame, but true.

robinbDIS: Thank you for the heads-up on the Harambe Market, we'll definitely stop by there when we're at AK.

Sounds like we've got plenty of options, that's for sure!

Also for Lotus Blossom, the cashiers have photos of the dishes and will advise you before you order on what you can/cannot eat. I get the pot stickers and egg rolls and am always shown a photo and then told that they contain pork. And once the order is put in, it comes out very fast. One of our favorites at World Showcase.

My vegan friends have had less good luck with lotus and nine dragons - neither could confirm if they were cooked with meat products or if the oil was co-used or something but those are my super hardcore vegan friends. I love them, but asking about bread everyplace we go anywhere in the world and about honey can get funny sometimes. I know people across the spectrum of diets. Interesting stuff.

Vegetarian egg rolls and stir fry at Lotus Blossom Cafe
Are these truly vegetarian? Last time I wen they said the stir fry had chicken broth and no mention of vegetarian eggrolls. Seems like they never can answer straight on it if I ask. thanks!

Another vote for Tangerine Cafe!! It is one of my favorite restaurants in all of WDW.

Go to Sunshine Seasons & get the beet & goat cheese salad. It's soooooo good! (pic from Disney Food Blog http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012/10/18/guest-review-sunshine-seasons-in-epcot/#more-65612 )

Another great option is the vegetarian platter from the Tangierine Cafe: (pic from Disney Food Blog: http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015/03/08/review-tangierine-cafe-in-epcots-morocco-pavilion/ )
