Vegetarians?

i have nothing against being vegetarian.
i know people who are.
but for one i could NEVER be one.
i love meat way to much.
haha....i don't really like vegetable at all
lol

but, good luck!

please don't get mad at me for this but, in MY opinion animals such as cows and chickens and the other animals we eat were put here for that very reason...for us to eat.
what other purpose do they have?
they get killed eventually by other wild animals

and that is completely MY opinion.

You asked me a question, I'm telling you how I look at it. I don't need a fact sheet for my opinion. I'm not trying to be rude or have a holier than thou attitude. Just trying to explain my thoughts and feelings on the issue. Sorry if i offended, or that m arguments not strong enough for your tastes.

So, you compare eating other animals to cannibalism?

Hahaha, you didn't offend me. I'm just trying to explain that a good amount of vegetarians do it the incorrect way because they lack essential nutrients by not eating meat. Some do it properly and supplement it by meating [lulz] their protein needs and making up for lost vitamins. I don't have a problem with being vegetarian. However, I just don't like when people claim that we're treating animals poorly and say that carbs are what we need to survive [being herbivores].

In some ways yes.
And I never said that carbs are the answer. You need a balance of everything, and I agree you need to do vegetarianism the correct way, or you're doing nothing positive for your body. You need protein, vitamins and all that good stuff to have well balanced nutrition.
Most people believe that vegetarians only eat bad stuff like tons of waffles and cookies and stuff. But that couldn't be farther from the truth. I eat a t on of different food.
Plus most people who eat meat eat way more protein then their bodies actually need, which can also be unhealthy and is linked to certain diseases.

lol, ok.. well I completely don't lol.

And I don't know many people who think vegetarians eat that way. They can't have cookies anyway unless they don't contain eggs or milk lol. When I hear vegetarian, I think of excessive amounts of soy and veggies.

And unless you're like 100 pounds and eating 350+ grams of protein, you're not in any risk. The whole too much protein thing is a myth. You have to be eating completely amazingly high amounts of protein to be in danger.

vegetarianism isn't unhealthy. if youre going to say that, i want proof.

and can someone promise to shove a cheesecake down my throat if i start to take dietary advice from a fourteen year old?

I'll shove a piece down your throat. And eat the rest XD And follow it by a cheeseburger. I take dietary advice from DOCTORS.

Vegetarians can eat eggs. I just had some oreos. Vegans don't eat eggs or any other animal by-products.
And yeah I eat soy and tons of veggies, but I get my protein from that soy, and veggies are great for you.

I didn't know they could eat eggs, haha. And what kind of soy? Like soy protein, or from different soy products?

Vegetarians eat milk and eggs.
Vegans are the ones that don't eat any products made by animals, like dairy, eggs, honey, etc.

John, if you really like, I could show you some lovely pictures of the factory farms. ;)

Seriously though, they're very disturbing. There's not a word for how disturbing they are. I actually sat here and cried the first time I saw some, to be honest.

I definitely don't think they should be people's only motivation, but it's kind of a slap in the face for me. Reality, ya know?

I'm not saying other people should feel the same way I do, at all, I'm sure trying to explain how I feel. :)

lol, I've seen them. It really doesn't bother me.

Both :)

Wow that amazes me.

lol, yeah soy protein's way too expensive and I can't have it anyway. Whey protein is a lot better.

And I don't see the amazement of me not having an emotions towards it.

It's something with a soul, thoughts, feelings and emotions dying. And dying in very terrible ways.
Most people are bothered by it, but can put it out of their minds. Because they don't see that burger of chicken nugget as something that was once alive. But it is...

Honestly, I am fine with that. It's a totally personal thing for me. :)

Yeah I agree, it's totally a personal thing. I'm not pushing my beliefs at all.

Anyways it's 2 am and I really want spaghetti with oil and garlic. How weird.
And tonight I went out for my cousin's birthday, and we went to this great asian place. I had the most amazing edamame and broccoli and tofu. But of course I had to be teased a little about being vegetarian. I don't understand why people have to get on my case, when I don't say anything about what they're eating. I only bring up my beliefs when asked.

I see it as a yummy piece of food that I'm about to enjoy. But hey, that's just me. And I respect the whole vegetarian view on things. It basically comes down to how you view things.

Oh, that does sound good! You are going to start me having cravings, lol.

So, I think I posted this before, but has anyone tried the MSF vegan burgers?

Yeah I totally agree with that. It's how you view it. I am always willing to listen to other people's opinions, I find it very interesting.
Not everyone is going to agree with the way I think, and that's cool, but if I respect someone's opinion, I expect mine to be respected too. :hippie:
