We have some friends joining us on one of our days of our upcoming trip in April.

I need a place for lunch and then a dinner option. We will be going to DCA during the day so I need some choices for vegetarian meals in DCA and then some good choices for vegetarian meals for that night. We could eat in DCA, at the hotels or DTD.

NOT in Disneyland as they are only buying a 1 day 1 park pass.

TIA for any help.

My very favorite is the Caprese Sandwhich at WTC if your friends are lacto ovo. It's delicious and a good price! I believe WTC has a few other options as well but I always eat the sandwhich :)

Ariel's has a veggie pasta dish, but I have not eaten there since the recent menu switch.

The wharf has a really good veggy chili in a bread bowl, we just had that last night. There are lots of veggy snacks both healthy and pure Disney Junk Food all over the park.

If you want to do Dinner outside the park, Napa Rose and many of the restaurants in DTD have really good veggy food. My only places to skip are Storyteller's the few times I have eaten there I have been disapointed every time! HoB has only veggy sides. Naples quick eat place is just gross, though some like the table service I can't bring myself to try it again

My favorites are UVA bar, because it's inexpensive, they had lots of veggy food and I love sitting outside and people watching!! And if you have the money to blow Napa Rose!

Lastly while I go all the time Jazz Kitchen it is a little tough for veggys. I love the garlic bread and the salad and go for that and dessert! But I do know they will make you a custom veggy meal by request.

There is a lot of things to eat its actually pretty easy to find good things!

I had the veggie lasagna at the Wine Country Trattatoria last week. It was very good. The new veggie dish at Ariel's Grotto is good also. There seemed to be plenty of choices at Goofy's Kitchen, too. It was crowded, though. We had a veggie ravioli dish at Storytellers for lunch that was good. Rainforest Cafe has a veggie burger as does Whitewater Snacks at the GCH. Good Luck!!!

Opps totally forgot Goofy's!! Goofy's was very good the few times I went. That says a lot since I hate Buffet's, but Disney makes it so hard to dislike them!

Fairycat hit my faves. A trip is not a full trip if I haven't had my veggie chili in a breadbowl. :) (and yes it's totally vegetarian, I checked with the chefs! as is the vegetarian gumbo in New Orleans Square, just in case you guys ever go again and go to DL)

OH! There's a portobello dog over at the, um, hot dog place on the street on the way to Muppets - TOT - Monsters. I have not had it, but I noticed the sign in May!

It's not on the menu, but Taste Pilot's grille also has a veggie burger :) you just have to ask!

Thanks so much everyone! I gave her the link to all the menus and I figured she could peruse them and decide for herself. They are the lacto ovo type and so that limits things even more. I figured best to let them decide because I know things are very strict on their diets and so I would let THEM decide what they can and cannot eat. Then we would go from there.

I really appreciate all your help. I don't know how they do it. To me it would be too hard to try and figure it out but I guess you get used to it when that is your lifestyle. Thanks again everyone for all your help!! :)

fyi, lacto ovo means you DO eat dairy and eggs, so it's the most relaxed version of vegetarianism. Vegan is the hard one (at least for me!). :)

Thanks. See I am a MAJOR meat eater. LOL I don't know this stuff! Thanks for clearing that up. I sent my friend the menus and it looks like we are just going to wing it for lunch and they said they thought the mexican or pizza place sounded good for lunch. Do you think the pizza place will be open in April? I was thinking I read that it was down on rehab but I can't remember. I haven't been since July but I am going in March so I guess I will find out then LOL.

But anyway we are going to do dinner at Trattoria so that works and then I am thinking we may have breakfast Friday morning at Rainforest. So thanks all for all your help. I am sure it will all work out no matter what. I am sure they are used to having to make due wherever they go. :)
