Hey guys! I'll be in Disney World Florida this July and it will be my first visit as a vegetarian. Just wondering if anyone had any meals/restaurants they really recommend for vegetarians. Thank you in advance! :upsidedow

WDW does an amazing job of catering to vegetarians, every TS and QS will have options; my favorites are Sunshine Seasons at Epcot and Sana'a at Kidani. When going to a buffet you can request a chef to show you around the buffet and they will let you know what is vegetarian. I always have a car so that I can go off site for further options (I am vegan, so my choices are more limited), my favorites are Noodle Co. And Sweet Tomatoes at The Crossing just outside of Disney Springs.

Be sure to ask your server if you aren't seeing anything that you want or will work on the menu. A lot of restaurants have a separate vegetarian menu that they only bring out on request. And if you still don't see anything, ask to speak to the chef and they will definitely come up with something.

In 6 trips as a vegetarian I've never had any trouble finding something at TS places. CS can be trickier, especially the smaller places with very limited menus. Like the snack carts and kiosks in the parks. A lot of their stuff is premade and can't even be modified.

My daughters are both vegetarians and have no problem at WDW. At any of the sit down restaurants, you can ask the waiter. They will make you something special if you don't find anything you like.

This was super helpful, thank you! I do love Sunshine Seasons so I'm glad I'll have options there.

I didn't realize many restaurants had a separate menu, that's so nice to know. Thanks!

My sister and i both are vegetarians so this was really helpful advice, thank you :)

Sweet Tomatoes, yum. :)

Tofu noodle bowl at Hollywood Brown Derby. (the cobb salad without the meat was just lettuce mush, FYI)

Both soups (french onion and potato leek soup) at Be Our Guest are vegetarian.

Vegetarian chili and Lighthouse sandwich at Columbia Harbour House are so good. Weird combo. But equally good.

Tusker House lunch and dinner...might not be worth the cost *to me*, but if a character meal is on the menu, that's the one we want.

The Wave breakfast buffet. Request the Tillamook smoked cheddar (suitable for vegetarians) grits withOUT the bacon. They have made it special for me each time upon request.

Beware cupcakes and other desserts...Disney quite often makes them with gelatin. Avoid (my strategy) or ask for ingredients.

All counter services have menu binders that you can request to look at.

The apple slush drink in New Fantasyland has a "marshmallow" topping, but it's NOT actually marshmallow. I looked in their ingredients book. It's just a syrup with that flavor.

Thank you so much! I'm making it a point to add some of these places to my trip plans!

Sanaa is my favorite. I agree with a PP the Lighthouse Sandwich at Columbia Harbor House. I'd also add Captain's Grille and Raglan Road. There are a lot of options at Disney!
