Well now we are back from our main summer holiday it's all systems go on the planning of our first DLRP trip
At the moment I'm looking at the food aspect and trying to make a list of resturants to try for our evening meal (we'll probably just grab snacks at lunchtime).
With 2 small children in tow (5yrs & 4yrs) we need somewhere pretty child friendly, but the main issue is going to be that DP is a vegetarian (no meat or fish). I'm broswing through all the resturant reviews but wondered if anyone has any specific recommendations (or warnings) about where to get some decent veggie food for DP??

you will be pleased to hear that ALL DLP restaurants cater for vegetarians. the quality, choice and type of food they serve is another matter of course lol

Ahh but that's what I'm after - ideas of where to go to get good quality/choice as I can see that they all do seem to provide at least one veggie option (although some fish dishes seem to be marked as veggie! ), but can't find many reviews that mention whether the veggie option was good or not iyswim

We only have 2 meals booked so far....Buffalo Bill's for the Tuesday and Cafe Mickey for the Thursday. Have pre ordered the veggie meal for BB's, not sure what it'll be like.....
I think we may try for Annette's for the Monday, still not sure where to try for the Wednesday and Friday, although we were wondering about Lucky Nugget for Friday.....hmmmmm, decisions, decisions!
Will also be looking for small snack type things for lunch, watch out for my trip reports when we return lol!

All of my reviews are from a veggie viewpoint. Check the restaurant review sticky. I will also try and track down a rather 'hot' thread on eating veggie at DLRP and in France in general.

I have a lot of experience having spent a lot of time in France over the past year in particular, and have eaten at many of the DLRP and resort restaurants.

Thank you to Cyrano and his super search powers! ;)

That thread which he linked has suggestions both inside the parks as well as the resorts and outlying areas

Note my last update that as of July 2007 veggie offerings were EVEN BETTER at DLRP than in past....

From our recent trip, I would have to say that the veggie choices were mainly pasta based ones. However, places like Market House Deli do a great raosted vegetable bap for lunch and the pizza restaurants all do a margherita. As far as sit downs are concerned, Cafe Mickey was the most imaginative, with three or four good options including a stir fry. Blue Lagoon again plumped for a tortellini dish, but it was tasty. Auberge de Candrillon was a let down with just one (pasta again!!!) dish and a vegetarian starter that consisted of smoked salmon????????:confused3 . Annettes do a good veggie burger and everywhere in the counter service area could provide a fresh green salad. Hope this is some use...

Hi there

I am a vegatarian and we go to disneyland paris every year. The places to eat in the parks themselves dont have a great variety of veggie food. You can get a salad omelette which sounds awful but is really quite nice but mainly you only have the option of a chips well what i found anyway.

In disney village, planet hollywood has the garden burger and thats about it its the same in the rainforest too, but they are nice meals. Cafe mickey didnt really cater for veggie at all but i enjoyed it for the atmosphere anyway. There is a place in the village which is a country and western bar but not buffalo bills sorry i cant remember the name of it and from 6 in the evening you could have an all you can buffet. This was fabulous for vegetarian they catered really well.

I hope this helps and enjoy your trip in October.

Thanks for your input guys :flower3:

Cyrano - thanks for that link (I did try searching this forum but the search facility wouldn't work for me) - it makes interesting reading!

Bavaria - I've noted your updated report and now I'm looking forward to trying the Blue Lagoon even more :)

Milomummy - I'll watch out eagerly for your trip report (wading my way through the past year's worth atm anywhy to try and get some hints and tips! lol). Cafe Mickey and Annette's are on my list of palces I'd like to try so would be very interested to hear your thoughts as well as any other place you try.

Any other recommendations or obseverations on veggie food very much welcome :)

I know that Annette (Kevankiki) has eaten at Annette's before with her veggie daughter. They apparnetly have a veggie burger on the menu there. I haven't actually eaten there so can't comment, but I do recall that a few people have enjoyed it.
