Vegetarian food at DLP

Well here's how me and my DGF got on. Rainforest Cafe is a must. There have a selection of dishes, but there burger has to be the best. Not your ordinary boring veggie burger, its got a soya patty thing going on!!!

Erm, annettes dinner has a veggie burger but thats it i think!

Cafe Mickey have a create your own pizza, so that kind of explains itself!!!

In the parks there is loads of things. I personally fell in love with the omlette burger at the hyperion, Discoveryland. We also ate at a sandwich shop on main street, which had awesome mixed cheese bagettes, and there was a toastie cafe on main street too (they had a cheese and mushroom one.... Yum)

Don't worry tho, we never had any problems. Just shop around, and look at the menus while your trecking around the resort!!!

Good Luck :thumbsup2

Yes, you wont have a problem eating. I'm a veggie and although the choice was a bit unispired......certainly didn't starve and considering being in meat eating France was a relief.

I agree with Mr Shindig...the veggie burger in the Rainforest was FAB..it had slices of avacaddo in it..odd....but it really did work for me! Annettes was OK but just 1 choice if I remember....but my godson who is a meat burger expert (!) thought that Annettes was the best!

Yes a few places had the cheese and mushroom toastie thing.......quite filling and certainly OK!

I was a little disappointed at some of the more expensive restaurants...when they only offered pasta (or pizza)......yes, pasta is OK...but most veggies eat a lot of pasta and would like something else when they dine out!!! It was like a few years ag o when all a veggie was offered was an omlette or a cheese salad!!!! Now its just pasta or pizza. Come on you restaurants....get your act together!

It was hot when we were there so didn't eat nearly as much as we would now that the weather is colder.........but you really won't have a problem.....even McDonalds did a goats cheese salad....hahahaha!

Thanks for the tips. I haven't been to a rainforest cafe before, keep missing it out, so I will try and get that on the list, thanks for all the other tips. I'm sure I won't starve but was hoping to find some ideas for nutritional food if you know what I mean. I am actually not vegetarian I have included fish in my diet for the last 12 years but I am very picky with fish so my diet is usually 80% vegetarian. I was impressed when in California of the veggie choices at Disney.

Ok there is the Jiminy Cricket Menu in the California Grill with three vegetarian choices for each course. In Walt's there is a complete vegetarian menu, too.
We stayed away from the fast food. Once bought a farfalle salad in the Bella Notte, but it was not worth the money. Tiny portion in a plastic box from a food company. Save your money and go to one of the table service restaurants. It is not as expensive as you might think because in Paris you will hardly find a good menu for under 25 Euro. If you are a shareholder or if you have an annual passport you will ge a reduction too.
There is an italian restaurant in the shopping center just one metro station away and there are lot of other choices for veggies, too. There is very large supermarket with more choices you can imagine. I even found "traditional mousse o chocolat" without gelantin :bitelip:
.Generally in most of the restaurants there is a minimum of one vegetarian menu/dish witch is marked with a symbol, even in the King Ludwig's. Mots of them have vegeatrain menus. We stayed 14 days as ovolactovegetarians in DLP and nether had a problem. Ok sometimes they mark fish as vegetarian, too.
If you go for a day trip to paris go to the La Victoire Suprême du Coeur
41 rue des Bourdonnais, 75001 PARIS 1er. It is near "Les Halles" and it is 100% vegetarian. It was a new experience for us not to be in the minority :goodvibes . Never felt so "normal". (I am a vegetarian for 22 Years even in the army).

Greetings

kaido

Thanks Kaido that was very informative. The restaurant in paris sounds good but the children are definitely not vegetarians
