I have been looking at the menu on Allears.net but curious is there much for a Vegetarian to eat here? A few people in our group are vegetarians and I know that german food tradionally has alot of meat...any experiences would be great! Thanks!

I did a search and found a few posts about it. Also, there were a few people that replied with some photos of the food. Looks pretty good to me. Do a search for Biergarten and you can see some reviews. :thumbsup2

Yes, they can do vegetarian.
. . . veggie bratwurst
. . . veggie wienerschnitzel

NOTE: When inquiring for vegetarians at WDW, be sure you get a complete and accurate answer. A lot of the food coloring used is made from animals.

There used to be quite the array of choices but Biergarten has gone severely downhill in the last year. There were green salads, tomato salad, spelt salad, cucumber salad, roasted veggies, roasted potatoes, etc. Breads and two types of buns as well. The salad list is shortened now as and there is usually only one 'safe' hot veg item. The Käse Spätzle is not traditional at all.

Be aware that the soup is not vegetarian either.

I used to recommend Biergarten for veggies but hesitate to do so based on the disappearing menu items, and the reduced quality of the food/amount of time food is left out. I have had many servers tell me similar things about the declining quality. It is an expensive meal for poor quality, tired food, and a limited choice.

I would take it that the previous poster was intending to be humourous, but it is a serious subject. I wouldn't want your guests OP to believe that there are meat substitutes available for those dishes.

That is disappointing to hear. I had a nice meal there a couple of years ago, and had no problem finding enough vegetarian food on the buffet.

We used to eat there every few months; our last meal was during Food and Wine. It's been disappointing to see the decline, but moreso to watch dishes literally disappear off their list of offerings. Sometimes it is one, other time another, but they seem to not have as many dishes in general as in past.

Biergarten is pretty terrible. Now, I was looking for real german food and it was nowhere up to par. Sorry, just not worth the money.pirate:
