I have read before that if you ask, the person taking your dining reservations will put "Vegetarian" or "Vegan" in the notes section of your receipt that gets printed and put on your table to give your server a heads up.
When I tried to get them to do this, they repeatedly claimed they could not, despite the fact that I had seen pictures of recepits saying "vegan/vegetarian". Finally, after concocting an elaborate story about how my boyfriend was very sensitive about cruelty to animals and would most certainly burst into tears if meat was mentioned in front of him, she agreed to put "Very sensitive vegetarian. Do not mention meat items."
I nearly died when she read it back to me. But hey, at least they'll know now!!
Every menu has at least one vegetarian option. Check out the menus on Allears and if the only veggie option doesn't sound good to you, call the resturant ahead of time and see what they can do.
