Vegas Trip ~ November '09 (It's over, but we had a blast!)

You know I am most probably in. How can i not be, I can get a free ticket, am off of work, have a babysitter lined up and have a room reservation. I just have to make myself get the airline ticket. I am sure I will be going alone too, so look out Vegas. haha. I just need a few weeks to get it straight in my head.

I won't know until the first wk of November when the schedule for work comes out. I am hoping that I am going to be able to come.

Darn work getting in the way of fun!! Well, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it works out and you can join us. You of all people deserve a Vegas do-over after being in pain last time.

I know I'll be home with the family, as I imagine will Jane.)



Friday
Rest of the group arrives today!
Dinner at Bahama Breeze for Beth, Marcie and Stacie followed by ??? (whatever we want I guess!). (Stacie, you weren't going to Gordie Brown right? Neither are Marcie and me. We can still do dinner at Bahama Breeze if you want and then play it by ear.)
Dinner downtown followed by Gordie Brown for Linda, Cheryl and Doris
After shows are over, meet up for Olympic Garden?? Maybe?? Anyone still interested in this? (After the show is over, if it's not too late we should all meet up somewhere. Originally we talked about a few of us doing OG. Anyone still up for that?? Or can anyone think of someplace else? There is a bar in Mandalay Bay called Eyecandy that is supposed to be fun. http://www.vegas.com/nightlife/bars/eyecandy.html We could go there. Just throwing out ideas, but I'm open to anything even OG!)



Saturday
Sleep in.
Shopping at the outlet mall and/or Town Square. Lunch @ one of the Town Square restaurants. (There's Tommy Bahamas, Cadillac Ranch, CPK, etc) (So I think it's just myself, Marcie and Linda shopping today. The stores might be packed being the weekend after Thanksgiving, but I can tough it out if y'all can. lol Then we can do lunch at Town Square.)
Early dinner @ 5:00 (reservations required) at Wolfgang Pucks.
Zumanity @ 7:30.
Pirate show and Kahunaville at Treasure Island to close out the night.



Sunday
Early group lunch at Dicks around 11. (Do we still want to eat lunch at Dick's? I'm game if y'all are. OR since we were going to get pumpkin cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory anyway, we could just eat lunch there too. It's up to y'all. The Bellagio is next door to Caesars so I thought after cheesecake we could go to see the conservatory. Should be done up for Fall.)
After lunch, go to Bellagio to see conservatory, fountains, and eat some pumpkin cheesecake. YUM.
Group dinner @ Burger Bar. Time TBD.
Carrot Top @ 8:30 for Linda, Cheryl, Doris and Stacie
Chippendales for Marcie and Beth
After the shows, dancing?? Drinks?? Gamble??

I don't know about doing anything after Gordie on Friday. I don't think I would like OG, but if the group wants to meet for a drink and ??, I'm up for it. Cheryl is driving so I am at the mercy of whatever she decides. Unless it is at the MGM.

Sat is the busy busy busy day to me. I am still up for shopping and all the other activites listed. I am sure it will be a really fun day & night.

Sun I am up for whatever the group decides. Dick's or just Bellagio or both. Burger Bar sounds good. It's no matta to me. And Carrot Top I would like to see.so I hope the others are still up for it. I have a 9 am flight Monday (and do have to work half day, argh), so won't be out tooooo late Sunday night.

I want to hear from Stacie, Marcie, Jane, Deb and Cheryl.

With the way my life is going, I am not going to sign up for shows or anything that takes tickets. Got to play those by ear. But I am up for everything else but shopping. Just not my thing.

So, I realize most of those coming here in November are currently packing for a Disneyland trip so this thread is a total ghost town. I know it will pick up once again after the DL trip.

But in the meantime, I found a deal on tickets to the Erotic Heritage Museum. They are normally around $15 each, but I can get a pair for only 5 bucks!!
Since it's so dirt cheap, I was wondering if anyone was interested in checking it out?? Maybe we could go as a group on Saturday instead of shopping? (I know not everyone wanted to shop anyway)

The museum opens at noon so that allows plenty of time to sleep in and get ready. Maybe we could do a late breakfast somewhere and then go to the museum?

That's what I was thinking, about the shopping. I'm all for shopping, but being the weekend after Thanksgiving, the outlet mall is really going to be a zoo. If you don't get there early, might as well forget about it.

I just thought this was more interesting, more Vegas-y. The price is right and we can time it to do a group brunch and then hit the museum. I went ahead and bought the tickets. I got 6 tickets for only $15 so you really cannot beat the price and it's just one street behind the Strip. Very close.

But if no one is interested that's fine too. Either just Marcie and myself can go, or we can think of something else. And the museum doesn't take that long, we can do something afterward too.

I just wanna have fun!!
