Vegas Trip ~ November '09 (It's over, but we had a blast!)

Actually Wolfgang Puck's is inside the MGM. So we can eat there and then y'all can either see KA in the same hotel, or walk across the bridge to NY NY to see Zumanity. Both are easy and convenient. :thumbsup2

Shows how much I know...:sad2:
Thanks, Beth.

Is Marcie still coming? What does she want to do Sat night?

awww...thanks! I really, really, really want to come. I have the wknd off, BUT the flights are way to much now and I have a micro test on Tuesday after the wknd. So that would not work out that great.

I understand. But I know what you mean about the flights. I paid $230 RT for my one hour flight. My 5.5 hour flight to Orlando in January was $255 RT! But I am sure it is because it is a holiday weekend. I haven't been to Vegas in 4 years - I am getting excited for the trip!

It's $440 RT. In 2006 we paid $176 RT to Orlando from Spokane.

I knew I should have booked before I knew if I had the time off. But with school they work around my schedule a lot, so I don't ask for time off. I just missed 7 days of work because of the flu.

Deb, I was still holding out hope you'd make it! :( We're definitely going to miss you. After last time with your knee hurting, you totally deserved a do-over. Maybe sometime in May or the summer.

Linda, Marcie says she is still coming. :thumbsup2 She hasn't said what she wants to do that night though, so hopefully she'll pop in and let us know.

I do think y'all should see a show, either KA or Zumanity. They are both so good. I don't mind sitting it out since I know Jane will keep me company and I've seen both twice. Or even some other Cirque show would be nice. Or maybe Phantom of the Opera. That was good and Cheryl, you missed out on seeing that last time.

There are some discounted shows here to check out: http://entertainment.travelzoo.com/las-vegas-entertainment/

Oh, and I just heard from Marcie. She is still coming, she's getting her hair done today to look all smokin hot! :smokin: :thumbsup2

Thanks for the link, Beth.

I would LOVE :lovestruc to see The Lion King. They have a show at 4 pm on Sunday that would be perfect. And orchestra seats are $61.00. Then we could have dinner afterwards. I have to turn in early (10 pm or so) Sunday cause my flight leaves at 9 which means I have to be at the airport at 7:30 am. Then I have to work half day doing month end stuff. Blech. :headache:

But did I read that Cheryl already saw it or has no interest?
Marcie & Cheryl, anything else look good to you?

What a coin-key-dink! I'm getting my hair done tomorrow. And I am going darker. My blond days are behind me. Well, at least until next year. I don't know about the smokin' hot part, but at least there will be no gray roots to be seen on this head!:rotfl:

I got dark lowlights in my hair since it's winter. My hair is all fixed and no where to go.

Deb, I'm going to miss you!!!!

As to where I want to go Saturday, I'm easy. I can pass on Cirque and do something cheaper. I don't know. I'm just glad my plane ticket was free. Christmas is fast approaching. :confused3 I do know I want to go to Kahunaville.

Lion King was really good! Ruben and I saw it on our anniversary. :lovestruc
Since I've already seen it, I'd probably skip it if that's what y'all decide to do.

It's a long show, 2 hours, 45 minutes (including the 15-minute intermission), so it would end around 7.
If Marcie and I are going to see Chippendales, we have to be there at 7:30 for that so we'd probably miss the dinner with y'all.

Unless, Marcie, if you want to see Lion King, that's fine by me. Just let me know.

Kahunaville for sure!! It's so fun there. :thumbsup2

Cheryl, are you and your mom still coming in on Wednesday?

Yes, we are.

Thanks for the link, Beth.

I have not seen The Lion King and would like to.

Sunday
Lunch at Dicks around 11:00.
After lunch, go to Bellagio to see conservatory, fountains, and then next door to Caesars for some pumpkin cheesecake.
Dinner @ Burger Bar (time??)
Chippendales for Marcie and Beth @ 7:30
Not sure yet which show for Cheryl, Doris and Linda.

Do you all want to skip Dicks and just do appetizers and dessert at Cheesecake Factory? :confused3 They open at 11:30, so we could do that, then go check out the Bellagio?

I'm okay with either, just thought that might be easier then trying to get to and from so many places......

Just poppin in to say hi and have a great trip, ladies!!! I'm sorry I'm going to miss this one, but I trust we'll get to do more next year:thumbsup2 I know you will have tons of fun and I expect pictures so that I can at least live vicariously through you all :rotfl: Think of me while I'm working away and you're playing in Vegas, baby!!!

BTW - Beth, I think Marcie would rather go to The Lion King than Chippendales...... Just sayin :confused3 :dance3:

Go back to your corner and think some more until you come up with the correct answer which is...............YES!

I have not seen The Lion King and would like to.

OKay, so now on Sunday, you, your mom and Linda will go to see Lion King at 4?

I just got a message from Marcie and she says she'll pass on that. So if Marcie and I are going to Chippendales at 7:30 and y'all will just be getting out of your show around 7, most likely we won't be able to meet up between there.

Sooooo, guess it's just me and Marcie for dinner! I'll be going home after Chippendales because Ruben has to work the next day, so I will only see you on Sunday afternoon.

Are we still on for lunch and the Bellagio that day then? We can do lunch and dessert at Cheesecake Factory, then hit the Bellagio conservatory and fountains before ya'll have to start getting ready for your 4:00 show. :confused3

Okay Theresa do you really think I'm going to be taking any pictures in Vegas???? And what are these Chippendales you speak of????

Beth, how's the weather? I am going to be cold in my little dresses!

I'm going to pass on the Lion King. I will be sad Sunday night :( all alone lol. Linda if you want to grab a drink when we get back to the hotel Friday night I'm game. Just don't talk to Theresa firt she'll probably tell u some story about me staying up all night. Don't listen haha.

I double checked and it says they have a 4 pm and an 8pm show on Sunday. We could do the 8 pm and that way we could spend the rest of the day together up until that point. I was being selfish and saying 4 pm cause that's best for me, but I think 8 pm is best for the group.

Cheryl, do you want me to book us seats for 8 pm or do you want to do it? I can send you the cash or visa versa.

I really want to see the Bellagio so we can skip Dick's. But Burger Bar sounds good. I want to squeeze in the CSI Experience somewhere.

Cheryl, what do you think? Marice, does Bellagio and Burger Bar sound good to you?

I would be in for CSI. Burger Bar sounds good, really I'm easy as long as I get my few requests, hot men, friends to laugh and cut up with and a drink or two (was going to say drink or 10 but I won't do that to Beth again haha)
