Vegas to Disney

We will be doing this drive on November 4th and my husband has done the drive into Monrovia, so he's done it all except the last leg of the journey and says that it's not a bad drive. As people have already told you, Sunday going South into California on the I-15 is not a good situation, ever. All the CA people who visit Vegas go back on Sundays. Otherwise I'm told the drive is pretty pleasant.

i do this drive pretty often. two weekends ago we didnt stop and it took us 3hrs and 45min from around the hilton to parking at the woody parking lot. The weekend before that it took us 4hrs and 15min with a mcdonalds breakfast/restroom stop at the lenwood exit.

Since the end of july this past summer i have made 5 roundtrips from vegas to disney and i avg just over 4 hours with a stop/restroom/snack break. I have driven on mainly weekends, but i have gone in and out on fridays and mondays as well. I do not excessively speed, maybe 5, never more than 10 over.

We come from Utah to Anaheim so we have to take the Vegas drive. It was only bad once...but it was going into California, not out. We were STOPPED for hours. Horrid.

Anyway, the drive itself is doable for sure. We usually stop and stay in Vegas and then do the Vegas to Anaheim the next day. It's a lot shorter than our first day! (6 hours to Vegas, then Vegas to Anaheim is about 4)

Traffic can be horrific. Last year, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, it took us 8 hours to get from Vegas to Anaheim....a normally 4 hour drive.

It took me over 12 hours once. Sadly, there were two accidents before Barstow (one including a car on fire). Aside from accidents, road construction and everyone returning to Cali at the end of the weekend, it is a simple drive.

We do it all the time and it isn't bad. This winter we are actually flying into Vegas and driving to Anaheim. It usually takes us about 3.5 hours.
