Vegas Tips for First Timer

Paris Resort had great breakfast buffets serving crepes , etc
This resort is connected by an interior walkway from Ballys and across from the Bellagio .
The Eiffel Tower Experience is very authentic with great view of the Strip ,might want to check for tickets online.
And for some crazy reason it always fascinates me to walk out of the Paris to their pool terrace and see the Eiffel Towers giant base legs .
haha

The restaurant entry looks like a traditional breakfast joint with similar dining but also has a Bar with a fire pit!
They serve that fruit plate with a side of banan bread a a cup of Fluffy marshmallow to dip .
We used to go to their location in Fresno when my children were young . They had multi colored sugar to sprinkle on everything to their delight !
I assume the Las Vegas is the Original and was so happy to discover this location late night !

OK so Paris has good breakfast buffet - it’s time to make a list of all the must do buffets and eateries!

Peppermill Lounge
Golden Tiki?
Herbs & Rye
Ferraros
Hash House a GoGo
The Beer Park
Le Cirque
The Golden Steer
Gonna go back and check the mentionables!

ETA - definitely want to hit up at least one great buffet, one fancy shmancy dinner and one ‘only in Vegas’ local joint. Hopefully more than one of each!!!! 😋

My husband abs I love staying at Bellagio, Mandalay, and Paris. Each have their own positives. We like having a view. We drive from Arizona and hardly use the car once there. We love walking around checking out the sights, hitting up various restaurants and buffets. We also like the mob museum. There are so many free things to check out in each hotel.
Which buffets did you like? I’d love to have a couple of over the top fun and extravagant meals, buffet or otherwise!!

And I love little hints like walkways to and from places without having to walk a ton outside or having easy ways to get from place to place!!

We had cashed in My Vegas points for the Wynn buffet to use it on our April 2020 trip that well got cancelled and when we were able to reschedule it the Wynn buffet was not yet open again (didn't open til summer 2021) and by December 2021 we didn't want to spend the money for it (although who knows the next trip maybe we will). Anyways long way of saying that one is highly talked about and the ambience looks so pretty.

If you want to go to the best value restaurant in all of Las Vegas...and you have a car...go where the locals eat and hit The Black Sheep. Chef Jaime from Top Chef is actually the real chef behind the counter and she makes some amazing and affordable for Vegas unique Asian food.

Eat tapas style and clear the appetizer menu, order a fun drink, and be happy. Or have each person order an entree. It's all good, and you'll be shocked at how little you paid for the food you get.

With the monetary savings, go to high tea at the Waldorf Astoria. One of the best high teas (they accommodated my allergies) and one of the best views of Vegas...and it's classy.

And now that you're poor again, go to Chef Jose Andres China Poblano for another affordable and casual meal. I see my favorite watermelon salad is off the menu, but really it was all very good and very reasonable (and allergy friendly).

And if you truly run out of money and you've never eaten at one, go to an In-n-Out. Thank me later.

As for what to do, someone posted a list...it's kinda perfect. I'm gonna specifically second Area 15 and Omega Mart specifically for a minimum 3-4 hour visit as one of the most unique things you'll ever do. I've seen places now try to copy their amazing concept, but no one has done it better. You will need a car or uber for this...of course, you could get the car, enjoy this site for the day and then go to Chef Jaime's place (and wander by the Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden on the way)...

It does look pretty! And they keep mentioning the flower arrangements….

I think a high tea would be wonderful! Wonder what the dress code is like…

Another aspect I’d like to explore - Happy Hour!!! We love visiting establishments during happy hour to get a little discount - any recommendations or do most places offer such a thing?

It's slightly dressed up - aka, look like you care and you belong in a place that valets your car and gets you your elevator:)...

I wore a short-sleeved cotton dress and slip ons and looked like most there...

Casinos typically offer free drinks to those gambling. More economical then paying for a pricey drink at the bar.
