Vegan mom takes on Disney..... Dec, 2011 PTR

And once again it has been DAYS since I have been on the boards.

Life is crazy busy right now again and I don't think it will be slowing down anymore! i went from having nothing to do to not having enough time to get it all done!!

On the weekend we played 'name that Disney movie'! we were trying to figure out how many movies we would need to watch before leaving....

We came up with a grand total of 76!!! Yikes! That means a movie every other night

So my DD and I are planning on making a list of 'must see' movies and figure out when to watch them. I know we won't get to everything so now I am trying to get a list... any suggestions?

What's your "must see" movie list?

Honestly I was trying to watch all of the ones we needed to watch and now I am trying to get in the ones that have rides with them at Disney or shows and then I will go back if we have time to watch our favorites and others!

I know what you mean.... right now I am stuck home and have nothing to do (although I should be doing a lot) and maybe in a week or so when I can catch up on things I will not have enough time!

Well, it's over. The house is not ours, we will not be moving.

The other offer completed and they will be getting the lovely new home.

Oh well, good thing we still love our house. I'm a little sad at the moment but trying to remember that I really do love our house.

On the up side, I have contractors coming next week to give me a quote on remodeling the basement so that I can have a private studio with a door that is sound proof. That way the kids can still use their rooms and upstairs and I can do ALL my teaching downstairs..... in the end this will end up being a really good thing.

I kind of knew that my DH was not as thrilled about moving as I was. He loves our deck and hot tub and yard and garage.... you know, all the guy things. He was willing to move but I was not as confident that he would end up being ok with things. The last thing I would want is a grumpy husband who missed his house. So again I say, in the end this is a good thing.

Now back to Disney planning

Okay ladies - I have 17 more Saturdays until we are WDW bound! Could you all netflix me some Disney movies, ship me the movie food so I can entertain my family in a phenomenal way as well? Now I think I want to get that going... do you think it would give it away to my kids? Would be totally out of the norm for me to do this...

I also need to make the autograph books, and I need to get some shopping done... all in less than 4 months time! WHERE IS THIS YEAR GOING??

Guess what I found on Amazon today for $2.00...a copy of the movie Tower of Terror! I honestly think this is my favorite ride at WDW! Plan on doing this movie the weekend before Halloween! Anyone want to borrow it before then...I would be happy to share!

How are you making yours? I keep seeing different ways and I want to look at other before deciding what I want to do.... if you don't mind letting me in on a little secret?

I think that it would be fun for you to do them too, and no problem I'll ship you some food...... Maybe just tell the kids with school and sports and clubs starting we aren't going to have much time to sit down together so you want to start doing these nights for a family time night? And don't even tell them that they are Disney---- they may not find it out!

Oh I know it's getting so close I am getting so nervous I am not going to get a lot done (most of it I can't do because I don't want Monk to see it!)! Soon we will all be there and our emails will be empty! Or well my TR should be started by the time that you guys come back!

I remember when that movie came out! It was a few months after I had gotten back to my first (and only) time to go to Disney and we had a mini night with other friends that hadn't gone yet and kinda rubbed it in their faces (I know it sounds mean but if you only knew the girls from my old neighborhood....). My friend came on that trip with us and I was 11! WOW that was a long time ago.... I am going to probably watch it pretty close to there so I don't think that I can borrow it, but I appreciate it! Oh jeez, talk about neglecting my thread!!

It has been so crazy busy here in my other non disney world that DIS has kind off dropped off my radar! Bad, bad me!!!

And even as I sit here writing this, I need to run.

Besides scrambling to get the my stages painted at my church an organizing the fall staff and schedule I'm crazy busy getting my own piano students and classes scheduled.

This week:
My DH is gone for the week - might actually make things easier since I won't feel guilt for staying up late!

It's my ds birthday on Wed - he will be 12... his request for the day?!! That he and I have a day, just the 2 of us! Man I LOVE this boy!

My dd is babysitting all week BUT is also camping with a friend this week so I have to go back and forth to the campground to pick her up and drop her off again. 1 hour drive round trip x twice a day for 4 days = TIRED mom

And ME... I don't know, I feel like I'm juggling a lot of balls right now and I'm not sure I can keep it up. And the year of teaching and school hasn't even started yet!

I have barely had time to think about Disney and that makes me very sad. I miss planning and dreaming and booking things.

We managed to watch 2 movies so far.... at this rate we will have to watch non stop movies for 4 days to actually watch everything! LOL We watched a Star Wars movie and 2 nights ago we watched Snow White. Even got hubby to watch with us... amazing how much of the movie he didn't even remember.

Don't know what else will be on the list for movie watching. There are way too many great ones to watch.... and all of you have increased my list again! I didn't even know there was a Tower of Terror movie!!!

I'll be back, I promise I'll be back.... Don't know when.... Don't know how.....

That's so sweet that your DS asked for a full day with Mom for his birthday!

I got the Tower of Terror movie from Amazon last week and we watched it Friday night. It looks like it was made for TV. While it's cool that they did a movie themed around the ride, I'm not sure I'd call it a not-miss movie.

I think the good part about being so busy you don't have time for the DIS is that the time will go by much faster and you won't have to worry about counting down the days like I am!

What a nice mom you are for playing chauffeur I think we all do it from time to time...but when it is such an intense drive (even if it is just for a short time) you deserve kudos for doing it.

Thank you! I think he is sweet to. he still loves to cuddle and hug and i will take it for as long as I can! Have to say though, trying to catch up after not being here a few days or (gosh!) weeks! is horrible... there is so much that happens!

Oh yes, I couldn't ask for a better, sweeter, more considerate boy. Let's just hope that continues through teenage years!

I feel like all I do is drive sometimes! Back and forth, here and there and since we are 25 minutes outside the city it is a whole morning or afternoon just to run in for a few things. Oh well... could be worse.... she could be driving herself already!! And I am NOT ready for that yet (though she keeps reminding me, it's only a year and a half till she starts driving training!!)

Well, I'm off for the day. today is my blessed boys birthday day.
