For all my cute little characters meals I have been talking to the Chef and they can meet my Vegan diet pretty well. A Vegan diet means no meat ( this includes fish and seafood ) and no eggs, dairy, honey or any animal product at all. Anyways some of the stuff they allready have for me are Oatmeal, some Vegan rolls, fruit, salads with vegan dressing, rice,Vegan van waffles, some of the grits are Vegan. Also at no extra charge they can make extra stuff such as Scamble Tofu ( I heard this is a Vegan alternative to Scramble eggs ) , they can make me Vegan pancakes, Ohana is able to make my Mickey Pancakes/Waffles Vegan by using different different ingredients, plus the StawBerry Soup at 1900 Park Fair that has Dairy in it well they can make me one that is Vegan so I can eat it lol > These are just some of the choices so with Sit Down Dinning I think I will always be pretty well set.

I also like to eat at other eating places that are not sit down Dinning. I know about some Vegan Burges at Mgm and the StarLight Cafe in Tommorow Land and fresh fruit at places ect. But was curious about other Vegan choices threw the parks. If anyone knows or has ideas about Vegan choices at other eating places I might could check those out. Also I am curious since Ohana Character Breakfast can make my Mickey Waffles or Pancakes Vegan I am curious if AllStars and other food court's could ? Plus these Hotels can bring Pizza to your door, does anyone know if they have Vegan alternative to Cheese or maybe I could tell them to withold the Cheese ?

Not much choice at the counter service places. My sis is ovo/lacto and I am having a hard time with that (except pizza and mac and cheese!). I think in Morocco at Epcot they have a Tabooleh sandwich that might be vegan, they do have some baked potato stands (at least they did). If you do a search on vegan, there should be some older threads that come up, I remember this discussion before.

Try Fresh! over at the Dolphin! They are very accomodating, especially to people following special diets! And, their food is wonderful - I've never had anything there that I didn't like! Here's a link: Fresh!

I have the new Passporter's Walt Disney World for your Special Needs -- according to one of their peer reviewers (Kitty Smith), the apple and cherry turnovers from the BoardWalk Bakery are vegan. Also try the bear claws from the Kringla Bakeri og Cafe in the Norway pavillion at Epcot.
I've heard from numerous sources that Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the most veggie-friendly restaurants on property and have eaten there with a vegan once myself.
I'll be travelling to Disney World in February with 2 vegans and besides the Passporter's book, I've also ordered "Vegeterian Walt Disney World and Greater Orlando" by Susan Shumaker and Than Saffel. Both books are available at amazon.com

I follow a mostly vegetarian diet and I suggest the Vegetarian's Guide to Disney World and Greater Orlando. It's WONDERFUL and gives a lot of tips on where to get vegan food. Many places will cook cheeseless pizzas on the spot and I heard that the chefs at Boma are very helpful. Also, I believe there is a Vegan Rice Bowl at Kona Cafe. All french fries on property are vegan and beware of some veggie burgers as some do contain dairy. Veggie sandwiches at Tusker House in AK are vegan I believe as well as the veggie offering at the Plaza Rest.. OOH and the veggie soup at Cosmic Ray's I believe is vegan. Pretzels are vegan..as are itzkadoozies if you need a little snack. If I think of anything else..I will let you know!

I read somewhere that McDonalds fries aren't vegan so you might want to double check that if you eat at the fry carts though.

How about veggie sushi rolls at Japan at epcot? I've had it and its good. The front room of the sit down restaurant has a sushi menu and a tempura menu. It has big windows that look out onto the world showcase and I found it reasonably priced for sushi.

While not exactly what your post requested, as an fyi there is a whole separate vegetarian menu that you have to ask for at Narcoosees. I ordered the vegetable platter twice and it is huge and delicious (not sure about vegan).

The Backlot Express in MGM has a Grilled Vegetable Sandwich. It comes with cheese, but I bet they would make you one without, which I think would make it vegan. Hubby (not a vegetarian) had it once and really liked it.

Hey thanks for all the wonderful post they where very helpful. Also I do know about McDonald's fries not being Vegan in fact really they are not even Vegetarian. But all of Disney fries are Vegan I heard.

I will look in to those eating places that you all told me about and I will look into that book. Also I have asked that they take out cheese in a Veggie Burger or other stuff before. Also I called AllStar's about ordering a Pizza and they said they could leave the cheese out for me and I think they said the breadstick's are Vegan :)

Are the fries that are served at Animal Kingdom actually McD's fries? I've never had them (we're vegetarian) because I figured that they were not vegie.

My daughter is vegan and when we travel together I eat vegan as well. She finds it much easier to eat at WDW than most other places!

In MK, we have been able to get vegan meals at Liberty Tree and at Cosmic Ray's. We also had a great vegan dinner at California Grill. In Epcot, we've eaten well at the counter-service place at Mexico (forgot the name) and at the counter-service in Morocco. Sunshine Seasons was good last time we went there, too. We were disappointed when we went to Fresh - while I think there were plenty of vegetarian options, we had difficulty finding anything vegan, and the chef was not at all helpful (and yes, we had called in advance). At MGM, we've had good meals at the Brown Derby and in AK the Rainforest Cafe has a vegan burger. I have to say that Boma is our very, very, very favourite!!!

Even the Pop Century food court has been able to provide us with vegan options - they had a vegan stir-fry, a vegan burger (as long as you left off the coleslaw, which was made with mayo) and a vegan pasta dish.

We're going again in three days and looking forward to more delicious vegan meals - we're planning to try out some new places where we haven't eaten before so watch out for my trip report!

Teresa
