VDH Questions for Purchasing

She gave me some more insight into the Tot. I know its less than what people pay cash but only by a couple percent. And she said that its set by the city of Anaheim, Disney has no control over it. Which I found interesting because we're allowed to pay with gift cards.

@DisneyFanSea already did a good job of explaining it. Anaheim didn't want another Mickey and Friends parking garage situation where they aren't getting anything from the parking fees that they helped to finance.

Also the TOT is sort of like the sales tax they are literally just collecting that and they pass it on to the appropriate areas just like if you were to use a Macy's gift card at Macy's they would pass the sales tax onto Anaheim, Orange, LA County, state of CA etc.

As you guys can see I have a real distain for gold. I recently bought a purse online on the fly and it had gold accents I didnt notice. I was like ugh whatever when I got it and used it anyway.. my husband hardcore roasted me when he saw it. So he doesnt help. He was also not liking the water bottle.

So it sounds like you need to go by one of those "Cash for Gold" places that all popped up in the mid 2000's

Random question. If you are 100% resale, do you still get the purple “welcome home” light when you badge in to the parks?

Yes, I got the Welcome Home at the gates when I was only resale... however, my husband never has. We've tried to fix that, but luckily he is unbothered by it.

But money is their driving force. Could implode a tower & start over. The site has changed a lot since Jack Wrather’s original Disneyland motor lodge hotel. When went tower route, started with just a ‘starter set’ Sierra Tower.

Ive never stayed so I have no attachment really other than id like them to keep the main building. I think the DVC wing adds a lot of color and fun and is more aesthetically pleasing than the older buildings which makes me happy cuz thats where we will be staying! I just love the Steamboat Willie splash bad and our guide showed us the preferred view from a one bedroom and it was beautiful

We have never encountered them putting a limit. Eventually you will get Cheezited out though. Snack rotation isnt something they do often in my experience, but Im not an MK holder so I dont go very often.

Or if you ever need to rent them the renter will have to pay them. If you exchange into II you also wouldn't have to pay them but much rather stay at VDH then do an II Exchange.

Has anyone ever done these? I know some other people have, but I tried to look into it to see what It was all about and the whole thing seemed very confusing to me
