VDH Questions for Purchasing

With 200 points i can stay for a week in a one bedroom for my birthday. That would come out to 224 points and then I can otup 24 of them. I dont want to stay a whole week at once but the fact that one week fit perfectly with my birthday I feel is a sign of what I need to do here

Our current break down for our h*mo family of 2:
Riviera: 400 direct (all one contract)
VGC: 400 resale (200,100,100), 100 direct
VDH: 350 direct (200, 150)
Total: 1,250.

If we had it to do all over again we would have split that Riviera contract into at least 2 if not 3-4 contracts. But these West coasters love our portfolio - elated to stay at our home resorts. In theory not adding on again unless they make a third west coast DVC. Have only been members for 5 years. Haven’t rented out points yet but love that we could. It’s such a great product and community.

Realizing that you can only buy OTUP at 7 months when VDH 1 bedrooms are usually long gone. Strangely you’ll have good luck with VGC 1 bedrooms at 7 months much more often

Thats awesome!! If u keep the riv u wont have to worry about selling! 200 points really makes the stays worth it ugh. I notice our split stays are 4-6 days usually. 200 points would guarantee the 4 days except during xmas. But I also feel like we're really not going to travel like that for Cali either. I feel it will be two nights max at a time. I almost feel I may regret not getting 200 points. Because if I add on it will be at no incentive 50 points. Maybe I can sacrifice that member cruise I wanted to go on or something to justify this hahaha.

I hope this is the beginning of a trend! Makes me feel like my reasoning might not actually be so crazy on VDH! I still am glad I bought there.

I'm so happy to have bought VDH. I enjoy my trips a little more each time I go. I even miss VDH when I stay at The Grand. The tropical landscaping and walkways are just so enjoyable along with all the Disney theming. Still enjoy VGC at Christmas time and its proximity to the resorts, but overall VDH really does feel like home to me.

Ehhh if Disney was giving 11 month priority to OTU points, the only way they could sell you the points is if they pulled it all from that one resort and it would make it harder for them to fill OTU point requests. It would also make it so that 25 point contracts are basically more flexible 49 point contracts because you could choose when you want those extra points.

Omgg I didnt realize that d23 dates have already been announced! We're a week past the 7 month booking window! I can try for the welcome home stay for that but the longer it takes to get my points, the less chances for me to stalk if they cant do it! I am in crisis mode again, sound the alarm!!! With every passing minute my plans are melting away. Time to call my guide i need to sign immediately! @tx911

I look at it as a bit of an unfair advantage to others with available points. If you are out of points at the 11 month, shouldn’t get OTU. Buy more points.

Booking a duo studio for d23 would only be 68 points but im afraid we wont be comfortable in that bed im scared.

We're barely going to be in the room and just need somewhere close to sleep, but that expo is exhausting and we need to sleep good. What do yall think? Do two adults really sleep comfortable in the murphy bed? I do love the jungle theme
