They had been putting it on your door. Not sure if they were getting taken. It would be there when went to cabin day 1. Last two cruises they were given at DVC Desk.

This is the regular one used to get each cruise on the door.

Oh yeah magnets def get taken. I had some really cool ones from Etsy on our door and someone stole them 😡 Not very Disney of them haha

I hope this is the beginning of a trend! Makes me feel like my reasoning might not actually be so crazy on VDH! I still am glad I bought there.😊
@VGCgroupie showed me some other ways the vdh purchase is great. There's only two Cali resorts and even with tot sometimes vdh is the better value.

There are many times where the points go much farther than vgc. Sometimes the same and sometimes vdh is a few points more. But let's take march 7-9 for example a vgc one bedroom is 116 points vs a vdh one bedroom at 78 points! That is a significant 38 point savings for the same two days. With the extra u could book another stay at vdh!

And yes tot eats at some of it but were buying this for stays, more points is very valuable! You also have the option of duo studio that u dont have at vgc to spread the points even further.

Not dogging the beautiful vgc that we love, just pointing out to people on the fence that vdh has some overlooked benefits for sure!

Dvc field guide rolls the tot into the mf in their chart of whether its a good value and that is totally unfair. We are not always going to stay at vdh and pay tot and likewise it is not factoring the value of more points saved especially when youre working with a small number of 150 points like I am. Not to mention how hard it is to book a room at vgc even at 11 months and the high upfront cost.

Maybe your situation is different but back when I was considering my direct purchase I hemmed and hawed over most of the summer with my guide about which direction I was going to go (he sent me the numbers several times). Never once did he mention anything about this 7 day thing. I think it's just an excuse they use to get some people to sign.

It’s good deal! It’s only $2 more per point than Welcome Home Weeks was at 150 points.
Thank you for pointing that out! I was really sad I wasnt eligible to purchase during welcome home weeks for the member financing, because I knew it was a great deal and thats the time to buy, but im very happy with how everything has fallen into place at the right time.

Poly def was thousands more and I feel would have been a mistake. We are much more excited for vdh and if we love aulani, which im sure we will, I wouldnt want poly and aulani in the future and im stuck with whatever direct I choose its a big decision for sure, im actually greatful ive had a year to contemplate it, as hard as it was because I now go in with 1000% confidence that ive stayed everywhere, figured out what made the most sense and am very happy with my purchase.

I agree, she pulled that when I said I was switching to vdh, I really think they want to lock in any and all vdh because of the slower sales. Maybe shes afraid ill look at the tot chart or something which I already have so she has nothing to fear 🤣🤣

You usually don't even need to sign before the points show up in your account. Typically, once you've given the verbal "yes, this is what I want to buy," that sets the wheels in motion. Maybe there is slight delay here on account of making sure you're eligible for member financing? And, note that you will pay prorated dues from the "yes" date, not the date you sign the docs.

Dang so how do I know if im direct already??

Well, log into your account and see if the points are there? If so, you're direct! :-) And, you could also book your welcome home stay if you wanted to.
My uy starts February 1 so I dont think they'd be in there yet. Riv and vdh and cfw have not made an appearance yet on my searches so it seems like the wait continues lol

Well, I sold back my points before the start of my October UY, and everything was in there immediately. Both time I bought direct, the full 300 showed up (even the points I was selling back). Then, the points I sold back disappeared maybe a week or two later.

The only thing I don't quite know with your situations is it seems like they're delaying your paperwork to make sue you're eligible for the member financing rates. Not exactly sure how that affects your situation.

When I made my first RIV purchase, I sent my guide an e-mail Friday night (her day off), and my DVC account was set up by Saturday afternoon with all points/contracts showing up (I did not buy resale first). And, as I recall, I didn't e-sign my paperwork until Tuesday.

I dont know my situation is all kinds of confusing. My anniversary isn't until march 26 so they weren't supposed to do it until then, then they got permission for january 26 two months ahead. Now its you need to sign within 7 days because I already shared the price with you. And I emailed my guide and shes off AGAIN until Monday. I cant believe ive been abandoned again for the weekend

First can’t sound like a newb..it’s “Star View Station” 😂

Yes..should with your contract info at a minimum. The digital wallet DVC card should change from DVC-ND to DVC-Y and if purchase the Beyond, DVC-BY pretty quick.
Ohhh I think thats the name of the store lolll. Let me check my card im sure its still bunk lol
