Better location imho but I do like the look of the new roomsShhh...I'm looking into VGC and I don't want people sneaking in and getting all the good contracts before me.

which studios? Duo or deluxe?I’m going with studio range 15-30 points per night.
The only ones spiking above VGC would be those poolside units. Otherwise VGC beats any potential 'parkview' benefit by location and level hotel.I'm going with starting at 1-2 points below VGC for standard (hello Anaheim!) view, with maybe 3 view classifications spiking upwards of 10 points above VGC.
That would be unusual. GC is the higher priced location and point charts have tended to take that into account since DVC implemented point creep with BLT. At worst I'd expect it to be the same but would suspect it will be slightly less. Off the top of my head I believe the quantity of pods and studios already mean if identical it will be more point heavy per square foot than VGC which has a higher percentage of 2BR's. Plus the selling price is going to be somewhere in the double range compared to VGC.We keep going in circles about points chart speculations but my guess is higher than VGC because it’s 14 years newer than VGC. I’m seeing Riviera/BCV comparison. But who really knows![]()
Copper Creek opened only 2.5 years before Riviera and their point chart is so much kinder by comparison. tee hee. And of course Riviera was being touted as the Grand of the Epcot area. Yet Riviera is less grand than the Grand (in point requirements).Copper Creek opened only 2.5 years before Riviera and their point chart is so much kinder by comparison. tee hee. And of course Riviera was being touted as the Grand of the Epcot area. So who knows.

CCV was able to match BRV because of the cabins. Those cabins sucked up so much of the points chart.Copper Creek opened only 2.5 years before Riviera and their point chart is so much kinder by comparison. tee hee. And of course Riviera was being touted as the Grand of the Epcot area. So who knows.
But this is California. It’s more expensive out westYet Riviera is less grand than the Grand (in point requirements).![]()

Just because VGC is ‘better’ doesn’t mean the points at DLH won’t be much higher. Look at the OKW 3BR. It is WAY cheaper than any other DVC 3BR. Only because it was the first, not because it is inferior. The DLH tower likely cost much more to build than VGC, therefore the point chart will reflect that. The only ones spiking above VGC would be those poolside units. Zero percent chance 30 is the most expensive studio.I’m going with studio range 15-30 points per night.
Anyone actually follow through with what the email said and called in to talk to a guide today? I’m itching for more info but tired of being told “we don’t know anything yet, but soon.” I am at DCA at the moment.. maybe with enough cocktails from Lamplight I won’t care about bothering the guides.![]()
The funny (sad?) thing is those standard rooms will be gobbled up immediately when you could have a theme park view at VGC for a few points more if you bought there instead.
I'm a VGC owner and once you are an owner, it's really not very hard to get any type of room at 11 months with some rare exceptions. Direct sales don't happen and resale contacts are more rare and expensive than other properties, but if you look around it's not that much more to buy VGC right now than the direct VDH buy in is shaping up to be.You can always try![]()
That's assuming you can get points at VGC. I thought direct and resale were both kind of hard to come by. If you can get them, then you have to work hard and be lucky to get a studio, even at 11 months.

Ill throw it out there…which studios? Duo or deluxe?
