I think you’d be surprised.
And you also need to add in all of the former-Californians who come back to the area to vacation and/or visit relatives.
I think you’d be surprised.
I also agree. All the active sales language regarding estimated cost of membership shows Price Per Point + Closing Costs + Dues.I agree. And i think the 34,100 is copied and pasted from all the other language on the site. Don't think there's anything to see here.
If you are staying late, you might want to sleep nearby and head home in the morning. I know I've done that at my local park more than once.
I don’t doubt it. I suppose it might also depend on how you define “locals”.I think you’d be surprised.
Northern LA area down to Mexico? (Including the Inland Empire of course)I don’t doubt it. I suppose it might also depend on how you define “locals”.
Don’t forget Utah, Nevada, and Arizona? That’s a lot of “locals”Northern LA area down to Mexico? (Including the Inland Empire of course)
I think we've wandered down this path before. If you are talking about SoCal (from the Mexican border up to Bakersfield (about a 110-120 mile radius around Anaheim, you have a population of just about 24 million people. The population of the entire state of Florida is 22 million. If you eliminate Kern County (Bakersfield), then you still have 23 million people living within 100 miles of Disneyland.I don’t doubt it. I suppose it might also depend on how you define “locals”.
Team Utah!Don’t forget Utah, Nevada, and Arizona? That’s a lot of “locals”
Does "Northern LA" include just the valley or magic mountain or beyond grapevine.?Northern LA area down to Mexico? (Including the Inland Empire of course)
Absolutely!Does "Northern LA" include just the valley or magic mountain or beyond grapevine.?
Because grand villa means party! My wife just now: “Why would we ever need a Grand Villa”?
Me: “Why does a King want a whole castle? Because it’s awesome!”

Random TP sidenote: We were stuck at GF in March 2020 when everything shut down and had to wait a few days to fly out. We actually needed TP at home but I was initially planning on going to the store when we got home. I started to get worried when I saw the pictures on FB of empty shelves, so in desperation I started hoarding Disney TP to take home. I remember throwing blankets over my growing pile of TP when they did the room checks. You people keep ignoring the TOILET PAPER!.
You have enough points I think you could almost just consider yourself a CA & FL resident.Reporting in!
We can get to Disneyland in about the same time one can drive up the 5 from San Diego during traffic if we are good with timing and fly low…
Well perhaps a bit longer, but it’s not a bad drive.
In college, we referred to TP as "white gold," because that's what it was worth when you didn't have any. We had about 45-50 guys living in one (large) house, and ordered it by the pallet. When it arrived, you could hear the cries from afar: "WHITE GOLD!"Random TP sidenote

Don't give the franchise tax board any ideas! They sent me a packet the year after I left CA just to "double check" to make sure I didn't owe CA any more taxes...
As a side note, I was going to post something earlier on this thread about considering that the real reason that they may be holding off on the selling of points could be due to an error in how they are processing licensing for the agents. What is the saying...
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
I just got a call from my guide today to check in as he had an alert that we were having our first stay on our points in a few weeks. He let me know that he just barely got his license for CA and that not a lot of the FL based guides have them yet. Perhaps they are lagging on that and they are giving themselves more time to get the guides ready to sell it?
I also asked about the point chart and said that my goal at a minimum was to be able to stay 4 to 5 nights in the spring in a 2BR for 200 points and he said that would be tough and said that he was looking at Riviera as a model. Not saying that he was confirming that it was going to be like Riviera, but it sounded like our guesses that it might be aligned wont be too far off.
