VCRs in the Studios?

For some reason I thought all of the DVC rooms, including studios, had VCRs (or DVDS in the case of Beach Club). We've moved from our 1-BR over to our studio for the remainder of our time here at OKW *sob!* and noticed that, like VWL, there isn't a VCR. I'm guessing I was just confused.

BTW, the studios are beautiful here! We have never stayed in one, and are very pleased. We are in 2510, which is the room that adjoined our old 1-BR on our Sept. trip. In the future, I will have no problem going to the studios, just so long as I am at OKW!!!

At OKW, I believe only the 1BR+ have VCR's and they are in the living room underneath the kitchen counter

Thanks

None of the studios in the DVC resorts have VCRs or DVDs. Unless something has changed since last year's BWV annual meeting, there are no foreseeable plans to add VCRs or DVDs to the studios.

When this question was asked of DVC management, the person who responded said that the furniture housing the TVs did not support VCRs and DVDs and that to replace all of that would be very expensive. She said there were many other priorities ahead of it.

I may not have remembered the exact words, but the gist of the answer was pretty much "not going to happen".

Vero Beach and Hilton Head are the only resorts with VCR's in the Studios as of right now.

When we stayed at a studio at the VWL, the TV sat on a shelf in the cabinet. Underneath would be where a VCR would sit.

They began by building "Home away from Home" resorts. There really was no need for vcrs in the studios. They never expeced so much use of studios.
