VC hotel room rental

I am new to this! Could anyone tell me if you can rent points for a hotel room and is so how do I find out how many I will need?!! Thanks for any information and help on the subject.

a thread called "point rental primer" is only a little farther down this page. that sounds like a good place to start...

and if you look in the top right of your page, you'll see a link to "DVC Point Charts" - that will help also...

For non-DVC resorts, it is more cost effective to pay cash for those resorts. Especially with the new $95 per reservation fee. You'll want to check out the rent/trade board to find out about renting a DVC reservation for a DVC resort.

Hi lujamom and Welcome to the DIS! Are you seeking to stay at DVC Resorts or regular Disney Resorts? That will make a difference. The DVC Resorts should be more cost effective. For regular Disney Resorts you may want to consider purchasing an Annual Pass and checking for the discounted AP hotel rates through CRO. Good luck!
