VC Andrews Series any readers ? Would you let a 12 yr old read?

And what about the classics? Books like Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, etc.

I used to love to read biographies when I was a kid.

The Among the Hidden author is Margert Peterson Haddix. She has some wonderful books. Hope this helps!

My dd loves her books!

may I suggest
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle
(& her other books)

That's another winner with my dd!

How about the Narnia series or The Hobbit series? Eragon?

Have you checked out the Newbery book list? There are a lot of excellent books on that list that would appeal to kids who love to read.

The Newbery winners are generally good, interesting books. The older winners are as good as the recent ones.

I wouldn't suggest the books but then again my dd who just turned 13 would not read them. She is reading Steven King Dark Tower series.

My dd has read all your basic YA series already.

There are a few series she still follows and reads them when they come out, like Rick Riordan.

It depends on your child's genre. Mine likes mythology, magic, fantasy, horror.

See if she would be interested in some of Lois Duncan's YA Suspense/Horror books. I read many of them in Junior High and High School. My eldest DD read most of them last year when she was in 7th grade. A few of our favorites are:

I Know What You Did Last Summer
Daughters of Eve
Summer of Fear
Killing Mr. Griffin
Stranger With My Face

I might have to check those out. :thumbsup2 Thanks
