VB studio or inn room?

Besides the kitchen setup, are they any differences between a VB studio and an ocean view inn room? (Same pts for either choice.) Do all studios have ocean views at VB? What is your preference?

The studios all have a queen size bed and a sleeper sofa while the ocean view inn rooms usually have two queen size beds. (Ocean view inn rooms 2415 and 2419 have a king size bed and sleeper sofa due to being a different shape than the other inn rooms, but these are difficult to get since it is a request.)

Other features are the same.

Most of the studios do not have ocean views, since the beach dune and plantings around the villa block the view. You would need to be on the upper floor of a villa on the east side in order to have an ocean view from a studio. We prefer the ocean view inn rooms for this reason and always request 2415 or 2419, since it's just the two of us in the room. We've been successful in getting one of these rooms 2 out of 5 visits to VB.

Inn rooms at VB all have a small kitchen setup, a microwave and a small refrigerator. They have 2 queen beds, a balcony a small table with 2 chairs and a VCR. There are 2 views, ocean and garden. The studio has a pull-out sofa instead of the second bed.
We've only stayed in a garden view room, and we have decided in the future to at least get a studio, because DH falls asleep watching TV from the bed, he needs a sofa.

Studios do not necessarily have an ocean view, I'm not even sure that there are any with an ocean view. Someone will help you with that one.

Two key factors:

Inn Rooms tend to have 2Q beds

Studios have 1 Q bed and a sleeper sofa

Inn Rooms have a view - could be Pool, Ocean, A1A and area beyond

Studios do not have view

We do not have a preference but would decide on the above 2 key factors and then let that drive the decision

thanks

Points are different for ocean view inn rooms and garden view inn rooms, and the ocean view inn room is a booking category, not just a request. Views of A1A and the area beyond are garden view.

Thanks for the great info. I was never sure about reserving an inn room. Are there any downsides to them? We've stayed in Bdg 15, studio. It was nice, quiet...no complaints. But a view would be nice. Do you hear a lot of noise in the inn rooms?

We stayed in an Ocean view Inn room this past December. Heard no noise at all from other guests in the Inn. (But I suppose that depends on your "neighbors". Nosiy neightbors can impair a studio stay, too).

Would love to stay in the exact same room again sometime. It had a "wall" of windows overlooking the ocean, a balcony that opened to a view of the pool and a small sleep sofa (that we didn't use) in addition to two queen beds. The kitchen area was totally separate from the sleeping area and the window over the sofa looked out to a view of the Green Cabin Room deck. We had a great room - windows on 3 of the four walks!

FWIW, I'd pick an ocean view inn room over a studio every time!

Would you be willing to share the number of the room? It sounds like a great one....I wonder how many they have like that one.

I would if I could remember it, LOL! I may be able to find it in my "souvenir drawer" and if so, I'll post it later this evening or tomorrow. I think they have either 2 or 3 of these rooms - they are in a kind of "dormer" wing above the restaurant.

Thanks for all the info! It really helps me with my decision. We are booking two rooms and taking my mom and I wanted her to see the ocean from her room. We stayed in an ocean view room years ago (before we bought BCV) and we really enjoyed it!!

Thanks again!

Oh yes, lots of noise in the Inn rooms: the most horrendous sound of surf crashing up on the beach especially!
In all seriousness, we did hear the folks in the next room when they were entertaining friends or family, but you'd get that in the outbuildings too.
