VB pool closure??

We are going in Jan and just got a letter that they are renovating the pool promenade area. Does that mean the pool will be closed of just part of it? What about the kiddie play area?

I haven't read the letter but I'm guessing this is the delayed storm repair. They planned to work on the roofing in the pool area during March (peak time at Vero) and eventually backed off the idea. The letter would specifically say that the pool will be closed. If it's work around the area, you may just have sections of seating closed off and/or noise from the work being done.

bartty - sorry for your luck. It seems as though the original work scheduled for March 06 was not going to close the pool, but just have work around it. I hope that is the case for you.

We are scheduled to be at VB in October - Since we have not received a letter indicating any changes - should we assume nothing is scheduled during our stay? I realize we're going at a risky time of year and anything can happen between now and then - but would we have been informed, by now, if there was to be scheduled maintenance?

Called the resort and was told that the pool will be closed when they are fixing the slide. Maybe the play area will be open?? But how safe would that be if they are putting a new roof on the slide?? Anyways. since the pool is about all you can do at Vero in January, we changed plans and now will be doing SSR then cruise then BWV.... Hey... I get to go to disney twice in a week!! Am not gonna complain!

Pools will be closed Jan 8 - mid Feb. You are good to go for April!
