We're trying to decide whether to go to VB or VWL (our home) next April (3rd week).
Haven't been to either but have stayed at HH and WL.
Will be traveling with my 2 children (3 1/2 yrs and 2 yrs) and their grandparents so we're looking at a 2 BR.

Any recommendations?
How is VB in April?

Can we book at the 11 month window for VWL and then change to VB at the 7 month mark if there is availability?

Any recommendations on specific rooms?

Thanks

We just got back from 5 days at BoardWalk Villas and three days at Vero Beach. While Vero Beach is a beautiful resort, there really is not much of a beach there. We spent most of our time by the pool, which you could also do on some "off" days at Wilderness Lodge Villas if you do not feel the need to do a park every day while at WDW. Also, the ocean at Vero was quite rough while we were there - our kids wouldn't go anywhere near the ocean, and they are 6 and 9 and used to going in to ocean in NJ every summer. Splitting your time is also an option - Vero Beach is a little less than two hours from WDW. That's just my two cents.

I would say that if you want to go to VB for the beach, you will be disappointed. At high tide there really is no beach. The resort is beautiful and the pool is very nice.
Maybe you could do 2 nights at VB and the rest at VWL. We did that, and it only took us an hour and forty minutes to drive to WDW from VB.
