VB Older Worn Looking Rooms?

As for Vero, it is not that bad. Is it a unit at DW? No, definitely not. But, it is the beach, it is humid, it is not on property. When we went, I expected the same attention to detail that you get at WDW. I also do not know how old it is. With that said, being on the beach and the surroundings are amazing. I would go to Vero again tomorrow for the outdoor ambiance, not for the rooms.

When we stayed at VB in a one bedroom villa I was impressed with how clean it was, I always buy bleach to clean out the jacuzzi but I would do that anywhere.

Thanks, Gina glad to hear that!!!!!!!!

We have only been twice (3 rooms total) and had no issues with cleanliness. I think being beaten by a hurricane or two and having the humidity of the ocean really gives them some challenges.

The only negative thing I remember is getting a fowl smell in the bathroom two years ago. It seemed to come and go and I think was solved when we made sure the fan was not running for long periods of time.

on this thread, several people have mentioned mold. my DS & I are both asthmatics and highly sensitive to mold. we have a 2B unit reserved for the last week of March. is the mold that bad? we cannot do a dehumidifier in most rooms and still be able to breathe because of the mold in the unit. please respond ASAP. I am getting very nervous and wonder if I made a mistake about Vero

I have been to VB 3 times since the hurricanes of 2004. I do believe all rooms have dehumidifiers now. They are necessary in that I have found in a 1 bdrm that I was emptying it twice a day (1 gal each time). I have not seen any mold inside the units I have stayed in. I would imagine the humidity in March is considerably lower than in the summer months too.

Our Mold was in the bathroom. It was around the tub, and a few spots in the ceiling. I did not check the dehumidifier, for h20. I am from the Dry west coast, and did not know how to open it. We pay for humidity here, and I had not seen a dehumidifier before. How long are you going for? We were only there for 2 days, so we overlooked the wear and tear. I am sure they have refurbished rooms and you can always try a different room. We checked in at 7:00 and our friends checked in at 8:00 So, we didn't ask for a different rooms and the property was at capacity. I really do believe a lot of our issues were from traveling so close behind the holidays.

My husband and my son both suffer from Asthma and they were fine. For us, I think the humidity helps. Like I said before, being directly on the beach was worth the trip! Disney has the best customer service. I am sure you will be fine.
