VB cottages in June - impossible to get?

We are considering staying in a Vero Beach cottage during the second half of June next year. It is not our home resort, and therefore we would be booking at the 7 month mark. Are we insane for thinking we'd be able to get one?

I wouldn't say "insane"...

more like "profoundly delusional".

Many people add on VB for this reason alone. You might have a chance in the Sept - Nov time frame. On the other hand you would have a pretty good chance at getting a 2bdrm & 1bdrm for a few points less than a BC (plan B).

jmho but I think if you have your heart set on bc then locate a member with VB points to transfer to you so that you can set your reservation up for a cottage at 11 month window.

See now this is where I get upset with DVC. This would be a perfect example of when and why one would do a reciprocal transfer of points, But we are only allowed one transaction per year so once you receive in points you can't transfer any out for the remainder of you UY. That means either you pay cash for points or one or both become the booking agent for the other. It could be soooo simple.

Two transfers per year... that's all I ask.
