Was there any explanation as to why they were cancelled?

Yes thanks, well sort of, I should have led with that!

In the email I received it says:
"Our records indicate that you pre-reserved a Beverage Tasting(s) cruise activity on Embarkation day.

We are reaching out to let you know that this experience is no longer being offered on Embarkation Day. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

So yeah "no longer being offered" I guess. Only received the 1 x Email, I guess as both activities are classed as "Beverage Tastings".

I booked directly from Disney Cruise Line’s website some months ago and it was an option.

I am sure this was just a normal booking in a category where inventory has gotten low. Let’s say category 9C is nearly all booked, Disney will often offer 9C GTY which means you will pay the usual 9C price, but will get any stateroom in that category assigned, sometimes you could also be upgraded. But there is no discount associated with it. It depends how booked out your cruise is whether it will be offered.

Update on this was just browsing the app a few days and the Champagne tasting and Prima Notte are back again, now with "Check onboard etc." so it looks like we've missed the boat there already, though we will get there as early as possible and ask upon embarkation. (For this sailing we're Concierge)

I've emailed to check what can be done, not overly hopeful but we'll see

What's super disappointing is that we had a booking, (which I have a record of) and then they just cancelled it and the whole thing, and then reinstated a week or two later, which we were not advised of, and we missed out.

Update on this was just browsing the app a few days and the Champagne tasting and Prima Notte are back again, now with "Check onboard etc." so it looks like we've missed the boat there already, though we will get there as early as possible and ask upon embarkation. (For this sailing we're Concierge)

I've emailed to check what can be done, not overly hopeful but we'll see

I received our email from Concierge that we can book activities the night of Jan 10. There was a list of things to book with links but when I click on the links it barely gives any infotech is not very helpful.

We looked at Raffles, but it is more than I prefer to pay per night. You might find a deal with your credit card travel booking. We're looking at the Maxwell Reserve since it's a Mariott property.

Further update: I've now been informed it's a false positive and to disregard. I assume it's the just initial sailings are affected, teething problems

DCL Email Advice 6/12/25: "After reviewing the availability, we’d like to share that Prima Notte will not be offered on Embarkation Day, as previously mentioned. If you happen to see Prima Notte displayed in your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, please kindly disregard it."

I was in a similar situation and I ended using the filter on the activities combined with some of the preview info collated in the Disneeds video to try and get a grip on what we should book.

The DCL link below though is filtered to adult only, which actually ruled out our most booked place which was Mike and Sulleys. Really looking forward to the Steakhouse offering (Dinner Only and have booked a few of these) and the Teppanyaki. Omakase looks great but we're not seafood people so we skipped that.
