VB Beach House for cash??

Can you get a ressie for a beach house if you are paying cash?? Any member discounts available?

We are thinking about heading here next July with some other members and were trying to figure out if they rented these for cash since we know we will probably not have any luck at the 7 month window.

The first priority for MS is to reserve DVC villas using points. When they know - either from current reservations or past experience - that a certain villa type isn't likley to be reserved using points it can be available for cash reservations sometimes with the 25% member discount. Often the cash availability is only on weekends, but some weekdays may also be available. With so few Beach Houses at VB (there are only 6), they are in high demand at least for weekdays but the weekend nights may be available.

We have been able to make cash reservations at HH for weekend nights in a GV a couple of times right at 11 months and with the discount for summer months - but no weekdays have been available then.

We satyed in a Cottage last year, checked in on Sunday, housekeeping told us it'd be a while because the Saturday night guest had too many people in the cottage and it was a huge mess. I bet it was a cash ressie.

We have done the beach cottage on cash for weekend nights a few times. We usually travel in April and find that a cottage or two can sometimes be vacant on a Friday night that time of year. Probably not the case in the summer.

We reserved a BC for April Break this past spring. We reserved the weekdays Day-by-day with points and then added one night either side with cash and member discount (which makes it a better deal then those weekend points). I believe I added those nights either right with I was booking the weekday stay (if not it was only a couple weeks after). We did end up canceling those cash nights and doing more at WDW.

I couldn't find you exact pricing but this should give you a rough idea for the beach house -

Rates from $769 - $849 per night depending on the season.

There is also 11% tax.
