VB Adoration & Information Thread (Plus 2007 Chair Swap)

kdzgon - I really, really think the swap will fill up at least two going at once - it has only been up a few days. Once it gets a little closer to school getting out, I expect that more and more people will come looking for VB info and a swap! Have faith!

I meant I happen to be the only one (well, obviously along with luv2trav) whose dates coincide rather than follow another. I also tend to think of things too late (lots of DUH moments for me) as we leave in just under 2 weeks, so I should have done this sooner.

Starbox, please don't take it the wrong way - I really just meant this tends to be my style luck. And, the truth is, with my trip so close I probably would not have had time to organize it on my own, anyway. It'll be great if we get two going, but as we have "beach days" at both Naples and then Vero Beach, even if no one else joins a second swap I am still way ahead of renting for those days. At least, I think I am, as I have not purchased beach chairs in quite a while. I have plenty here for our trips to the Jersey shore, but I'm not lugging them on a plane!

Even if we don't get a second swap going, some one will benefit as I'm not lugging them home, either! I'm sure someone will be happy no matter what.

I've been having at least two people join each day, so as soon as one chain gets relatively full (I'm anticipating multiple lists), I'll send an email to everyone on the list to vote on what they want. Then, we'll divide the cost between all swappers and reimburse the first family on the list.

We'll also need to get some sort of zipping bag to hold all the items so that they can be labeled and stored for each guest's use.

I think it'd be sturdy and large enough to fit a couple of beach chairs, an umbrella, etc. I'm not sure if the body boards would be OK in with the chairs, but even a simple net bag (laundry bag or sports ball bag) might work well. Judging by some of the Christmas tree threads I expect this swap could indeed last quite a while.

I keep thinking I have less than 2 weeks to go - while true, we're going to OKW first, and it's actually more than three weeks before we leave Vero. We'll be bringing the laptop, so I can keep tabs on this thread.
