Just to let everyone know that the Disney Outlet Vaughan Mills is having a soft opening tomorrow at 10:00am. The Grand Opening is scheduled for Sept. 23rd. For this week only when you purchase $75 or more you'll get 15% off. I'll keep everyone posted about any deals to come.

:cool1:

Thanks. I think. Somebody (Exp.626Stitch) said it was opening on the 12th, so I got my DD3 VERY excited, and I dragged my very NOT excited husband through rush hour traffic for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes to Vaughan Mills YESTERDAY to find out they were not open!!!

I spoke to 2 people who worked there, and they explained that the opening was delayed. No hard feelings. ;) (well, not from me. My husband is another story...)

Two questions please...where is Vaughan Mills and do they have any hallowe'en costumes at the store.

Vaughan Mills is right next to Canada's Wonderland.(same exit) When we were there yesterday, we got a peak through the door, and they had TONS of costumes. One caught my eye in particular-Minnie Mouse. It was soooo cute!

If anyone goes today can you let me know the price of the costumes. If they are a good price it might be worth the road trip from London. :cool1:

Up until Sunday night, we were going to open on the 12th but we had computer troubles. I would have let everyone know on here but it was a late night Sunday and I was exhausted.

Sorry again!!

For the costumes prices I belive they range from $45- $110. But don't quote me on that I'll check the prices tomorrow and let you know.

Any questions let me know

What time is the store open until? Since I have to work I'd like to go after work and check it out. Can't wait. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Don't worry! We will be going back this afternoon! The store looked great inside, and everyone seemed so nice! My DD3 was disappointed, but she went and made a bear instead. :)

The store's hours are Mon- Sat 10-9 and Sun. 11-7.

The Halloween costumes are mostly $51.50 and some examples are Pirates of the Carribean, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Pooh, Tigger, Mickey, Minnie, Buzz, Woody and the princesses.

No adult costumes at this time.

Any questions let me know

:goodvibes

Does the store carry WDW merchandise? How about The Disney Cruise or Castaway Cay? I noticed that someone on these boards bought a Castaway Cay t-shirt at a Disney Outlet.

Thanks for your help.

Tom

We are taking a trip there on Sunday as SnowWhite gave me the pouty can't you miss football one day and go to Vaughn Mills with me look this morn. I have Three major loves in this life, #1 My wife and kids, #2 All things Disney, and
#3 Football(The Buffalo Bills). So we will be there on Sunday, so please if you are working have the BigScreen tv that normally shows disney movies tuned into the Buffalo Bills game and I will be oh so happy :goodvibes thanks,

Rob (Snowwhite's DH)

Does the new store sell mickey antenae toppers. Espeically the Canadian one. Need a new one to go with our new Smartcar. Yes our new baby car. :) Can't take a new Smartcar to Disney world with an old weathered Mickey topper.
Thanks

Hi Everyone

TomTO- I have not seen any cruise merchandise and I don't belive we will be carrying it. I think that merchandise is mostly at the Outlets in Florida.

SnowWhite- As much as I'd love to accomodate you with the buffalo Bills game, we do not have a TV in our store and if we did, I just started and I would like to continue my employment with the company :teeth:

Belle1997- We do have mickey antenae toppers at the front of the store near the check-out line. Now, if we have Canadian ones is a good question. I did see christmas, halloween and colourful ones but I may have just missed the Canadian ones.
Sorry, I can't help you out more but I've been just helping out during the opening and wont be starting till next Monday (I still have to finish my 2 weeks at my current job).

any more questions, I'm happy to help :goodvibes

Does this store offer much in the way of childrens Disney clothing? I am looking for a boys size 6/6x Disney hoodie for DS. I have checked value village MANY times as well as ebay and no luck.
Ball park guess, how much is this store discounted (clothing) compared to regular Disney stores?
Thanks
Suzy V.

To Snowwhite's DH, there is a section in the opposite hall outside of a restaurant that has 3 or 4 big screens and comfy big lazy boy chairs. They seem to show sports, sports and more sports. I am probably the odd person out here but I found the store sterile and cold. My first impression was that I felt like I was in Zellers or Wal-Mart. The prices were pretty good but I didn't feel the magic enough to buy anything. I actually walked out feeling very disappointed. Suzy, I did see thick fleece zip up hoodies with Mickey on them in the size you are looking for, they were very good quality. TONS of great costumes.

Thanks for the info. Do you know how much the fleece hoodies were approx. or anything else about them (colours, characters etc)?

ALSO: Does anyone know of any back roads (from the Peterborough area) to get to this new store?? I have vision issues that don't allow me to drive on unfamiliar highways.
I heard that on mapquest there is an area that allows you to enter directions and it will give you back roads, but I just looked all over mapquest and can't find the back road feature.

Have a great night everybody!

If you go on mapquest, type in the address and hit "get directions". Then it will have an option to click something like-avoid highways.

Hi Riu Girl,

You can take hwy 7 through port perry and follow hwy 7 to Markham and turn right at McCowan at the Markville Mall, then goto Major Mackenzie and turn left and follow signs for Canada's Wonderland. After this you are on your own as we have not been there and will be taking the 401-400 this sunday. You could also take the 407 (toll hwy) go 115 to Taunton rd. take taunton rd to brock rd. turn right go about 3 kms to the 407 turn left and take to the 400 exit and you are practically there. just go 400 North for about 2 min. Hope these helped.

I am pretty nervous about driving (even back roads) so I found a bus trip with Thomas Cook Travel that goes from Peterborough Nov. 26!!!! I am going to register for it. It leaves at 8 am and doesn't get back until around 7 pm so that should give me ample time to check out the new Disney outlet store.

Two more quick questions:

1. Ball park figure: How much cheaper is the outlet store then a regular disney store?
2. Does this outlet store offer only disney store merchandise or does it also offer merchandise from Walt Disney World?

Thank you
Suzy V
