Various DLRP Questions! Women: Proposals?!

Hiya,

We're going from the 30th- 2nd, i cant help with the first few questions sorry, but i'm sure others will.
With regards to NYE- theres no events as such your can books for, the fireworks will be on and the normal shows/ parades before hand. Theres a useful website call dlrpmagic, you'll be able to find lots of information on there if you havent seen it already. click here

You can book special meals- but i dont know how available they will be now.
Theres the Mickeys Holiday Dinner show@ newport bay hotel its £95 per adult for the 1st sitting (i think around 6pm) and £122 for the 2nd sitting (9pm ish).

Or festive buffet @ the new york hotel or the studios park both of these are £108 - not sure of the timing of these.

or you can book one of the nye dinners at a number of restaurants or the hotels, these are set times/prices and meals. You can find all the details on the DLP food website. Here

These are very pricey and there is the other option of just booking a table at a restaurant you like, but it would have to be earlier that 5:00pm- this is what we have done- details of all the restaurants are also on the food guide so you could look at the menus on there too
You'd need to phone disney to find out what they have left really with it being so close and to book, number is 0160304050.

Regarding question 5, its such a shame the hot air balloon idea was a no go, that was a really lovely idea :cloud9: one thing u will need to remember is that it will be very packed on NYE in the evening, so it maybe an idea to do it in that day, if you find somewhere special. I think its depends on your partners tastes and what they would like the most- there was another post regarding this a while ago- maybe worth having a look at the ideas there. Click here(hope the link works)

i think its just wonderful, i wud love my bf to propose to me at disney and on nye but i dont fink theres much chance this year lol!!!

And lastly i think the best bet with the hotel is to ring disney as soon as pos, explain and see what they say- i think it would depend on what rooms they have left now- but it might be pos.

I hope this helps & and makes sense, just writing off the top of my head.

Let us now how you get on!!!

Hi

Yes, it's quicker to drive SE and aviod the centre of Paris completely. Get on the A26/E15 towards Arras and Remis. Just as you approach Arras, join the A1 towards Paris/Rossiy.

The difficulty is when you get near CDG airport. The road layout makes Spaggetti Junction look tame. What a few people here have suggested is to keep in the right-hand lane when you approach the airport bridges and take the next exit. This should get you onto the A104 and onto the A4 towards Marne-la-villee.

here is a copy of the direction from map-point. the first bit is just getting out of calais but the road from the eurotunnel is sign posted for the A16 anyway.

Hi - welcome and good luck. I'm sure whatever you have planned, it will go well and I wish you the very best. :wizard:

Can anybody suggest anywhere warm or at least inside, under cover, from where we could watch the fireworks at DLRP? I don't mind paying if necessary.

Finally, (I only came onto post a thank you reply, but just realised I've still got a load of questions...) can you book the hot air balloon rides on the day? Or do they have to be done in advance? Has anyone riden it?
Fireworks generally can't be seen from anywhere indoors :)

The balloon can't be pre-booked but it is definitely worth a trip if you see it operating :goodvibes

Ask her to marry you while floating through the burning village on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride - it's very atmospheric and the music is great. Seconds later you'll go down a drop where photos are taken, so you'll have a photo of the two of you taken just seconds after she's said yes. Then go into The Blue Lagoon restaurant which is next door and have a lovely celebratory meal in the most romantic restaurant in DLRP.

Whatever you do, Good Luck!
