Vancouver Taxi Service

In just a few short weeks, we will arrive in Vancouver, and I am wondering if the taxi
service takes credit cards? I really don't want to use my cash, but, I will if I have to.

We used the service provided with the Pan Pacific.

Legacy provide credit card bookings and all types of cars, turn up and go or meet and greet.

Our guy was great fund it was like an orientation of Vancouver on the way over, he didn't stop talking, in a very nice way.

In general the answer is yes. You might want to let the driver know you will be using a card... some drivers pull a scam saying their equipment is broken. Note, the cab number and let dispatch know the driver is driving a broken cab.

We took a taxi from the airport to our hotel... there is a long line of taxis there and I suggest making sure they take CCs if it's important to you.

Yes you can tip with the credit card.

They take credit cards and we found they also took American dollars. FYI, in the city of Vancouver taxis can only take 4 people.

Sadly we had a taxi driver who said "his credit machine was broke". He was the only person we encountered in Vancouver that seemed to be having a bad day (or year) and it was seriously affecting his personality.
