Will Disney allow you to book hotel tranfers from the Marriott Pinnacle Downtown hotel, if you have booked the hotel reservation yourself? If so, can I call Disney directly to book this or do I have to go through my travel agent (Costco)?

If you booked your reservation with a travel agent, I think you will need to have them add the transfer from the hotel to the port. Since this is a Disney affiliated hotel, it shouldn't be a problem.

Can't help you with the travel agent but, but Disney will be picking me up at the Fairmont, which I booked independently.
The Fairmont Waterfront and Vancouver Airport are affiliated hotels, which is why you were able to set up the transfers. We did the same thing for our Med Cruise, by booking the hotel directly and then setting up the transfers to the port via Disney.

It is probably a 7 min walk from the Marriott Pinnacle to the cruise terminal, so it might be significantly cheaper to take a cab.

The Fairmont Waterfront is even closer, maybe a 2 min walk.

Yes but in the past, people have reported that Disney wasn't allowing them to book transfers from the affiliated hotels unless you booked the hotel through Disney. Even now, depending on who you get on the phone, DCL agents are offering conflicting information.

As I said, it wasn't the case for us in 2018 for our 10 day Med cruise. I booked the affiliated hotel with credit card points and then called up DCL and added the transfer from the hotel to the port and from the port to the airport.

I'm not disputing your experience in 2018, I'm telling you I've sailed twice in the last 6 months, with a third sailing scheduled for this July, and the policy has been wildly inconsistent. I've had agents refuse to sell me anything other than an airport transfer, I've had agents schedule me a hotel transfer no questions asked, and I've had agents who had to put me on hold for 45 minutes to confirm with a supervisor that they could do it.

Whatever the rule ACTUALLY is (because Disney doesn't publish it clearly anywhere that I've found), the application of the policy is going to depend on what agent you get. It's a training and communication issue.

As a follow-up, I called Costco, my TA, and was able to add transfers from the Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel, evan though I have not booked that hotel directly with Disney. It was $13 per person.

This was the case for me and our hotel in Copenhagen. Was told transfers could only be booked if we booked the hotel through Disney

Hopefully it's just a couple of you because even $26 is a steep price to pay to get from the Marriott Pinnacle to the cruise terminal. It's probably a 2 minute drive, 3 if you hit a traffic light.
