Vancouver Airport Hotel

What's a good hotel in Vancouver to stay at post cruise for one night? Looking for one that has 24/hr. airport shuttle and a place to eat nearby. Taking a very early flight.

How early is your flight? You could stay at the airport Fairmont. Very nice hotel, and physically connected to the airport. You don't even have to go outside. Downside, you miss out on seeing Vancouver, which is a really beautiful city.

I'd say it depends on your budget and if you have to drop off baggage and/or clear customs. We just returned from Vancouver this week and had a 5:40 am flight. UG! For convenience, we stayed at the airport Fairmont but it was way overpriced in my opinion. According to the town car service that dropped us off there, we could have stayed somewhere within a mile or two radius for a lot less and it wouldn't have taken that much more time. We were in the baggage drop off line at 3:30 am which took forever...way longer than security or customs. We got to our gate at 5:10 am. We ate at the White Spot restaurant in the airport and it was decent but overpriced as well...typical for an airport.

We got a really good deal on the Fairmont IN the airport through Trip Advisor. You might want to look into it. It's pre-pay, but it's actually refundable less a small fee.

Vancouver is a very compact city.... you can stay at nearly any downtown hotel and be at the airport in 30 minutes by cab. A downtown hotel will save you time in not retracing back from the airport to your sightseeing destinations.

This was my problem, but then I found a great rate through Trip Advisor. Maybe try that? I also heard of someone getting a great rate through Last Minute Travel.

Did you try to book it via DCL? Their price for Fairmont is less expensive than booking directly through the hotel.
