Van Sized taxis for 5 people from JohnWayne

Hey

Are there many van sized taxis that serve John Wayne airport? Would you need to wait very long? Can you call for van sized taxi pickup for return from DLH to John Wayne? Do I ask too many questions?

We are a family of 5 and have done this many times. SNA (John Wayne Airport) is such a great, modern little airport. You will love it! After getting your luggage, you just walk right outside the exit, and there are cabs lined up. You walk up to the guy with walkie talkie, and tell him you need a cab-van for a family of five. We have never waited more than a few minutes for one to pull up. It is the same price as a regular cab--a set fee to Disneyland.

What we have done many times is if we like the driver we ask him for his card and ask him if we can call him to pick us up when we are departing. They always are glad to say yes, and it is a very simple way to get a cab back to the airport. If we don't like the driver or forget to ask them, we just have the hotel desk call us a cab. Tell them to specify that you need a cab van for 5 passengers.

Approx how much does the cab/van cost? we too are a family of 5 and will need to somehow get from A to B next week..

~$40 from SNA to DLR (sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less) plus tip.

Also, if you're staying on site you can request a flat rate taxi voucher back to the airport and it will only cost $32. Ask for this at Guest Services, not the registration desk.
