Value Upgrade

Any theories out there if Disney will offer the upgrade from Value to Moderate in December free dining the way they did for September free dining? I know it's impossible to predict so speculate away!

Because of the difference in the way this free dining offer works (values get free QSDP and moderates get basic DDP), I think more people who used to book values ended up booking moderates because of how small the difference in price was for those wanting to upgrade to the basic DDP. This means that guests are better spread out between values and moderates this time around. The deluxes are also likely more filled than during summer free dining because of the great room rates going on at the same time, special rates that were published and advertised well ahead of time.

I just don't think it'll happen.

IF (and that's a huge if) there are upgrades, it won't be from value to moderate. It'll be from either value or moderate depending on which Disney thinks they can continue to fill to DVC resorts SSR or OKW. Again, I don't think it'll happen, but that's just my opinion.

How were you notified of your upgrade? What were the conditions of your upgrade?

We're staying value with a pin so our dining is the regular dining plan. If (and I agree it's a big if) they upgrade to fill DVC resorts I would think they would upgrade us to free up some quick service fee dining rooms.

Only time will tell.
