Value season at The Dolphin???

I have already stayed 3 early Decembers in a row at The Swan.
I used the gov't rate of $129.

Seeing that The Swan renovations are complete, and more expensive, I thought I would try out The Dolphin for THIS coming early December.

Yesterday, I tried to book 12/3,4, and 5, with DreamsRes, for The Dolphin. I am expecting the rate to be: $129.00, plus tax, plus that stupid $10.00 resort fee.

Instead, it keeps coming up with:
$219.00, plus tax, plus the STUPID
$10.00 resort fee. AND they say that the gov't IS applied.

Now...this sort of prices me out of the water, and I am so dissappointed.

Please....can anyone explain this?
Is it possible that the first 2 weeks of Dec. are SO popular, that
Swan / Dolphin no longer considers it to be value season??

FYI-I called to check prices at the end of Jan for the gov discount for our trip this oct. She said the discounts for that time of year won't be released until mid-end of february and to try back then.
