This will be my first tin Disney world. We will be saving for two years in order to go. My question is: which value resort would you suggest. We've decided to stay fie days but we'd have to stay at a value resort. I'm so excited! But I want he dl on the value resorts. What you liked or didn't like

Maybe choose Music because its the middle of the 3 resorts with Movies on one side and Sports on the other. This way you can easy get to all 3 resorts for pools pool games, and pool side movies by walking a short distance.

If you have young kids I would say either Pop Century or All Stars Movie. The kids will love all the theming.

I agree! With Pop you are right across a bridge from the exciting theming of AoA so I would give the nod to POP. Movies has a nice theme though, that many younger kids enjoy.

If it is just adults going, then ASMu is a nice value if your budget allows booking a preferred room. Pop is also great for adults - especially with a lake view room!

There is not a huge difference between any of the value resorts. I would look at pictures and book the one that you like the look of the most!

Enjoy your trip!!!!

Welcome to the Disboards!

Our DDs liked Movies over POP, because they loved the Disney movie theme a lot more then the POP "old days" theme(as our DD calls it).

How exciting!!! We've stayed at all of the value resorts & we've liked every one of them. There are a lot of similarities but they also each have their own personality that makes them great. When our daughters were little, Movies was their favorite. When my husband (who's a music teacher) is with us, we stay at Music. Now that the girls are older, they chose POP on our last trip. One year, everything else was booked, so we stayed at Sports, and even though they are not into traditional sports (our family does taekwondo but that's not one of the areas), we liked it just as much as the others. I agree with looking online at pics of the various resorts and then pick the theming of the one that fits your family the best. You can't go wrong.
Have a magical trip! :earsgirl:

We loved Pop! So fun! Yes the rooms are small, but the resort is wonderful and you don't spend much time in the room anyway.

Same with our boys. They said that the other WDW "hotels" didn't feel like Disney. AoA feels like Disney, but it is almost Mod priced.

We thoroughly enjoyed all our stays at the All Stars. Sports is our favorite because we are a sports loving family. But all 3 of them are great!

We loved our stay at Pop! We got a 70's section lake view room and it was so quiet away from the pools, but still only a few minutes to walk to the main building. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!! Plus the dedicated bussing is a nice perk!

Another vote for Pop! It is our families favorite value. IMO, they have the best food court and transportation out of the other values. Our second choice would either be Sports or Movies. What ever you choose though, you will have a great time! Happy Planning!!!

All star music is great with family suites. And my runners up are pop and aoa.

If you're going for theming pop or aoa are sure bets.

If you want a family suite but don't want to pay the $300 and up at aoa asmu is definitely for you!

I love both the Pop and Sports. Pop has one small disadvantage--at every park their bus stop is one of, if no the, farthest out. It became a joke during the trip to look for the bus stop the farthest away from the park gates, and that would be ours.:p

I think Sports is overlooked because of the name. People hear Sports and think, I don't know, gym locker? But it is actually very pretty, the whole preferred area done in blues and greens, as it is themed Surfs UP!

Other than the theming they are all pretty much the same so I would just go with which one is less. I also, would not bother paying for a preferred room. There is always a lot of talk about the size, especially at Pop but seriously, nothing is really that far away from the main building. I also wouldn't worry about view, they are motel like buildings without outside corridors so you probably aren't going to be sitting in your room looking at a view.

My favorite is Aof A, but since discounts on the little mermaid standard rooms are rare (we got one on Orbitz last year) I would go with Pop. You can walk over to AofA and the lake between the two is pretty. Like someone said, ask for a lake view room, quiet and comfortable. Also the location of these resorts is great, not far from any of the parks or Disney Springs and great bus service.
